Once again, Europe B.net pubbie 2v2. (I fucking hate 15 minutes to find a game, mind that iCCup!) Usually, 2v2's played by random players who don't know each other are swift and brutal. After noticing my toss colleague open 3 gate zeal with cannons at ramp vs a TT pair on Lost Temple, I was pretty sure it would be very fast and very brutal. Well, I told him to prepare for vults and he did it in his own strange way. But that doesn't matter. What followed was the most goddamn intense 2v2 in my life. Basically, my partner's strange behavior was somewhat compensated by the same strange behavior of one of the terrans in the pair, and I adopted a refreshing and surprisingly effective "drop toss" style that led to 40 minutes of constant action and a thrilling end.

Even though it's not pros playing, very very recommended:

The last 5 minutes are basically chatter, the game ends with the last fight at the islands.

i liked your partners "worst units possible" approach, he had so much dumb luck avoiding mines -_-

Well, he was basically observing for the second half of the game when he mined out. I got relieved as there was no need to save him from cliffing anymore, at the same time, he provided kind of a ground cover so I could focus on air action. I loved how that game burned out to control of a single island expo, how often it changed hands and how I took it with my last units. I was dumb enough to lose all my probes as well, so the last shipment were the gas miners at main/nat.

After watching that replay, I was amazed at how everything counted - my drop in his main diverted his force, allowing my ally to level his minonly, even that somewhat ineffective zeal/dt drop my ally did in the other terran's main actually played a huge role as when it was most needed, that terran has found himself with no dropships and no starport, so he had to wait till his depleted geysers accumulated additional 150 in return giving me the ability to start a mining operation and build interceptors.

What I've found to be somewhat suprising - I never knew archons could rule so much in PvT. They are literally made for dropship play. As an added bonus, they don't trigger mines. Plus, having 5 speed shuttles PvT is rock'n'roll on it's own.

From what you tell, it was a very odd game.

Pretty entertaining
2v2 that ends up in late late game, with all the fighting being about one expo and every unit is extremely valuable, are usually very fun to play.

I'm going to take the opportunity to post a 2v2 replay of me and my friend on python vs two guys who'd crushed us in the first two games we played aginst them. The game is "only" about 25 min but there is lots of mms/tanks/muta/lings-action.

Hopefully someone will enjoy it

Well, it was quite action-packed, but brown was the king of the game from start to finish, so it was only a matter of time. A lot of fighting nevertheless.

This rep made me so nostalgic, I haven't played LT in ages...
SonuvBob: Yes, the majority of TL is college-aged, and thus clearly stupid.
