(This is more for me than for you all XD)
-This year: Get all A's in all my classes and practice at least three hours a day.
Win the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition and then win the NC Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition
Hopefully get accepted into UNC with the Kenan Scholarship (A music scholarship that gets me a full ride to UNC), and double major Music and Psychology.
-This summer: Work a job while taking lessons from people around the area. +Practicing Hard + Hanging out with friends + Possibly taking some summer courses @ community college
Five/Six Years From Now: Graduate with my two degrees ;p If I want to do music for living: Go to Univ of Michigan or Northwestern, or possibly Indiana. If I want to do psychology for living... idk. (Good grad schools anyone?)
Hopefully I've met a good girl at this point... Marriage maybe?
Further into the future... who knows. I'd like to move somewhere up north, Seattle?(I love Rain) definitely not south

Good luck, but things don't always go as they should. Be ready to make changes, compromises, and to take chances n_n.

Good luck yo.
Be ready to adapt.
Keep doing what you love, if you can.
Keep me in mind when you're famous.

Yeah I'm totally being optimistic when I say I'm going to win those competitions ;p I'll do my best though!

if you're going to set goals be more specific about it, it'll help a lot
for instance, get all A's in every class is really vague. what do u mean by that? don't skip lectures/do your hw within the first day of it getting assigned/spare 30 min to study every day/ etc.
&make them small chunks too. it's not hard to study for 30 min every day (well it is for me) but it's even harder to do your hw on the first day it was assigned, so maybe instead on the first day, you could plan out what to do. on the 2nd day u draft it, and on the 3rd u finish it and hand it in (3 days would still be like 4-5 days early, assuming they give u a week notice on assignments)
i've no idea what the hw in your school is like so adjust that as u see fit =)
ditto for 'practice 3 hours every day'. practice what? technique? exposing urself to different music styles? mastering a new song? if so, which song?
whee goal-setting is tons of fun ^_^
edit: it would be much easier then to see if you're on track. imagine you fininshed a school day. are you any closer to getting an A in that class? How do you know if you haven't had a test or an assignment returned yet? Well it's easier to be confident if you're studying/keeping on top of the work, etc.
Same thing for music. You might play for ~3 hours a day, but have you gotten better? Are you improving your specific weaknesses? It's much easier to be confident if you have clear-cut goals :D

You might wanna type up your goals in big writing so everyday you know exactly what you're aiming for and how awesome it would be if you achieved your goals. That should really help you get motivated to put in the hard work.

Very optimistic and daring- good luck though ^^
What instrument(s) do you play by the way?
|
I hope you achieve your goals
Good grad schools for psychology are Stanford and U Michigan- Ann Arbor.

Practice 3 hours a day ? I tried to set myself that limit and it worked for like...almost a full 5 days.
Well, good luck on your goals.

let me be the first to ask that where is SC on this list.

Definitely don't rush into this one (the marriage part).
