Yes, so i went out at a bar with some friends of mine. There was a new girl that was coming along i didnt know, and she's very hot. So naturally i had to do something about it...
When we sat at the table, she and i were separated by 2 chairs, so we couldnt chat the right way, but i came with an idea:
i asked the waiter for a pen and paper, and secretly wrote her: "hey, you look bored, why dont we play?" along with a tic tac toe game + Show Spoiler + i think this game is called tic tac toe right? X|__|__ _|__|__ | |O
but told him not to tell her who was sendint the note. So off he goes, and hands the letter to the girl. She seemed excited about getting the note. We played the game and when it came to an end, i wrote that she should look to her right side, and look for someone in dressed in blue, and after a blink in the eye, she would know who is the secret admirer.
Oh yes, i blinked my eye and she got all red and laughed. We chated a bit and eventually got her e-mail and cel number. Im looking forward to date her. Wish me luck!

The important part is that you beat her at Tic tac toe

Remember whenever she starts getting uppidy, hit her with one of those classic 1 liners.
"you are fat"
"I'm better then you"
"Feel honored i even consider touching you"
etc, make sure to keep that self esteem dwon, because then they try to compensate for it by whoring out. gl hf

That's actually pretty smooth, I'm glad it worked out for you. Odds are most girls would be like WTF tic tac toe!!?!?!

The waiter was probably annoyed. What you did probably seemed suave and creative at the time, but when you look back don't you think "boy was that dumb..." But if you got what you were aiming for I guess it doesn't matter.

She looks hot.Good Luck with her!
But you did beat her at tic tac toe right ?

I was going to just ignore you because that's how I deal with people like you, but when your ignorance is directly proportional to how many people you label ignorant, it becomes my civic duty to speak out.
When you said "and I feel I've seen more of them than you have" why did you say that? Did you have any logical reason? Yaqoob reads virtually all of my posts. It didn't occur to you that someone who would go out of his away to defend another poster against some rude accusations wouldn't have a vested interest in defending him? I'm glad you find Yaqoob virtuous, albeit one who's apparently ignorant...
BTW, when he used the same wording and sentence structure to give you a taste of your own medicine, it's clear that you shouldn't necessarily interpret it as literal when he was specifically showing how your usage of it wasn't literally correct. So to claim that what he said wasn't literally accurate shows that he is ignorant and foolish? Lrn2thnkthx. I also agree with Yaqoob though, that what I said may or may not have been annoying ( personally think it's fine given the context), but was 50 times better than derailing a thread to point out how much of an ass you think one guy is, and how ignorant you think another guy is.

Even though he doesn't have many posts, he has been here for a long time. The conclusion I drew from that, perhaps erroneously, is that he isn't very active - otherwise he would probably say more. I understand that some people just read and don't put any input, but I was going by the majority in assuming low post count = low activity, and therefore reading fewer posts. I have also been here longer than my join date suggests, and I didn't post or make an account for a while and just read. However, it's not as if I consider that time as a time when I was really focusing on anything on TL - I didn't care who said what, I just read the main articles and strategy guides and etc. Therefore, I felt it was fair to say that when you don't provide any input into the community, it's harder to keep track of people and their posting history. That doesn't matter much, because I frankly don't care how you've posted in the past - you may well have been a good poster. But, dor the duration of my recent activity, 95% of the time you seem to be playing the antagonist, pointing out the inconsistencies of stories or the shortcomings of others like you did in this thread. This is illustrated by the fact that you said that he probably looks stupid in retrospect, and that the girl should have realized what was going on, and other negative points of the like. This is your opinion and you're entitled to it, but I'm also entitled to my opinion of you and your posts. I guess if you want to be technical, I may not have "seen" more of your posts than him, but in the context of the past 3 months, where I've read almost every new post or thread, it doesn't matter. In that time period I've seen as many if not more than him.
So what you're saying is, as long as he mocked my phrasing, it doesn't matter what he said, I should have just run away with my tail between my legs because he obviously outsmarted me? If he said something untrue, or like you said, not "literally correct," I will point that out because it makes his argument/counter asinine. So to claim that he wasn't accurate shows that he is ignorant and foolish, because he tried to counter my statement with no basis, even if it was in jest.
I agree with the latter point - it's bad that I derailed the topic of this thread with my remark. But when I see you doing things such as this in almost every thread where it is possible, I wanted to express my opinion on it. PMing is unwarranted, if more appropriate in terms of staying on topic; it would be taking things out of context at best. And like you said, you ignored my remark, which is fine with me, because I don't care if you accept it, deny it, or ignore it. But when another person enters into an argument and pretends to know something and pretends that their opinion on my post to you is important to me at all, that's when I called him ignorant and foolish. He is responsible as well for derailing this topic, though perhaps to a lesser degree than myself. This goes for you too.

If you had just PM'd me from the start, this thread wouldn't have been derailed. The reason why you didn't PM me was because you wanted your opinion to be shared with the community, not because you were worried your opinion would be taken out of context.
"But when another person enters into an argument and pretends to know something and pretends that their opinion on my post to you is important to me at all, that's when I called him ignorant and foolish." Obviously it is important to you at all. He who allows himself to be insulted, deserves to be.
If you feel there is some further reason to have negative opinions of people, please PM them directly, rather than purposefully stating them in the public domain so that others can read about such tasteless matters. I honestly respond to PMs seriously.

but pm's don't give you that +1 posts. So doing battle here makes more sense. muhahahha?

To reply to fanatacist:
I been registered for quite a while but reading threads for even longer. I check Tl.net at least 2-3 times a day but I never post. I am not the type of person who cares for post count or posting but I enjoy giving my input if I think its needed or a topic I really care about [i.e Bisu[Shield] etc] so I do read a lot of stuff. I read alot of the blogs/general topics/tourney/brood war section while avoiding threads int he strategy section that I am not interested in [anything non-P related]. Thats all.

Update: She has a boyfriend. Lets see how it goes tomorrow.

hehe. Shame she was taken. Really creative on the tic tac toe. I would have never thought of that this is the most thought i have given tic tac toe since i was 8-9 and was bored during class. Who knew it worked in this situation too? Anyway better luck next time.

Meh... hot girls like that are virtually always taken.
When they don't have bfs, they have 1-2 week intervals where hordes of guys flock to her like vultures over a fresh carcass. If you happen to catch her during the said grace period, you end up competing against all sorts of douchebags whose only common grounds with you is desire for girl.
If you think about it, it must suck being a hot girl, being unable to go out in public without having 2845673 guys eyeing you.

Sadly yes. Most hot girls are virually always taken, but if you think about it, they dont have the same boyfriend ever, so there must be a way they end breaking up with his former boyfriend to get a new one. I'll working on that (fair play of course, i believe my charms > her bf's)

You take this girl away from this guy and what makes you think you'll be able to hold on to her while some guy better than you makes his move - unless you realize this and just want her for a quick lay, in which case, you're also a scumbag. It's called courtesy. And if you want to play survival of the fittest, you're out of your league.
