You can talk to your friends about religion, however do NOT try to convert them. If they are interested and want to talk more, then you can continue to do so and they might choose to believe in god. However nobody likes having someone tell them how they should live their life (especially when your kicking it off with a "or youll burn forever" ending). So if they are not interested, they are not interested, leave it alone or you'll lose your friends. Try to imagine what would happen if someone from another religion came up to you and told you that you were going to burn in hell for not believing in their god. You most likely wouldnt change you views, but youd get mighty frustrated. This is how it feels for people who are not religious when we are hounded by religious people about changing our faith. If we want to believe in a god, we'll seek him out.

I didn't believe in God until I was 16, when I started to question whether there really was a loving God out there Who looks out for us. I've looked into Islam, Mormonism, Bible Students (Jehovah's Witnesses)... Not as much as Christianity though.
