when transferring this to trying to improve in the "real world".. it's much harder to see and measure, and you're not always sure that what you're doing is going in the right direction. after you read a book, you don't see your intelligence points go up or get to test yourself out on ICCUP. this usually makes it less fun in the short-term, but it's definitely more rewarding over the long term. good luck. once you feel like you can control yourself, come back to starcraft, it's one of the most demanding and fun hobbies i know of. | ||

I never understood why people have to make the conscious decision to quit. Just play when you want to and don't play when u don't want to. I mean, I've been playing sc on and off since 98, I never once thought to myself "im quitting." If you really are addicted to sc that bad, don't ever do hard drugs;p | ||
