Over the summer i have decided to play football for my school, i'm 17 years old, i played for clarkstown south viking. My coach is Michael Scarpelli, worlds number one scumbag of all time. Basically my last 2 weeks was practice for 12+ hours a day, go home sleep and do it all over again, although the last 5 days was at sleep away football camp. where we practiced for like 14-15 hours a day. Basically i played hard, during the triple sessions beofre we went to football camp i missed 1 day. I was very sick and no one was home, i basically just went to sleep, said fuck it i will go tomorrow.
He had a bitchfit about it, said it was strike 1, if i do it again i am off the team. So when we get back from camp we have a barbeque practice, and pictures the following day, last minute i find out i do not have a ride there, i had an arguement with my mom = no ride. So i send him an email becuase i could not find his number. So later that night i call my friend ronald who is on the team, i ask him what time practice is, he says 10:30.
So the next day i wake up at 9:30 get dressed get there like 5 minutes late. Look at the feild, they are all practicing already, i get my shit together, walk down to the feild, ask my injured friend named fred what time the practice started, because it didn't seem like i was just 5 minutes late, turns out practice started at 8:45 and i was like 2 hours late. -_~
So the coach scarpelli calls me over, he's the biggest asshole ever. He gets no respect from his team, there is 5 coaches and all the other ones are good, he';s the main coach and he's just a dick to everyone, scums over the seniors by breaking tradition. Just is the worst coach ever.
So i go over to him and start talkign to him, and he starts giving me shit about the first day i missed when i was sick, but i didn't call him about it. Then about the day before where i didn't have a ride, and he starts saying i'm just making excuses, which basiocally means he said shit to me about how i'm unpatriotic, not a team player, show up at my convienience, all this shit, and i am just explaining what happened on those days. And he's just crying. So finally i had enough of it when he says "You have 40 team mates, you couldn't call one of them for a ride?" And starts going on about all this retarded shit. And i finally just said "I explained all this crap to you in an email, don't ask questions if your not going to pay attention to the answers." He tells me to take off my jersey and my helmet and leave, i just flip out tell him to fuck off and that he's a midget peice of shit and his teams going to lose this year becuase he is a horrible coach and can't get the respect of his players becuase all he does is scum them over at every opportunity.
That is the story of how i got kicked off my football team becuase 1 of my coach is a scumbag, i have no issue cursing off anyone i don't have repsect for or don't like, Coach Scarpelli is just one of those people, i have respect and like every other coach, they are amazingly good at what they do and everyone likes them, or atleast most people. This guy is just an unbearable douche that the entire team hates. I finally just lost it on him. What a waste of 2 weeks and probably over 130 hours. 13 hours of practice x 10 days, 130 hours just about.
In the End scarpelli is a horrible human being, a terrible coach, and his teams going to lose becuase no one could possibly respect such an asshole.

So fuck him, make a formal complaint to the school board, push it through the system, don't say ok when they say they'll take care of it but that they don't need you anymore, just push it push it push it til you get this motherfucker in trouble. If you have friends who feel the same, as you say, as you get them to go in wit you. I did this to this bitch coach at my school, turned out he was a weed-mule as well so he got fired.

I feel you man. I think I had a much worse experience, though. I played football freshman & sophomore year, and it was a terrible experience. Near the beginning of introducing tackling into practice before the season started freshman year, some guy on my team speared me with his helmet and broke my hand. I went to the doctor and got a cast, and all the coaches could do is call me a pussy and say I made it up, which didn't help me very much with the other players. The coaches were such dicks that the players started believing the crap they were saying about me making up the injury, which is where it got bad.
Regardless, I stuck it out and showed up to every practice as an injured player. Finally, the day was coming where I could get in on the action. First drill, first tackle of my first practice back, a guy on my team falls on my leg and in a bizarre freak accident horribly broke my leg. So basically, at that point, I can't walk and am writhing in pain on the ground, and all the coaches and players do is huddle around me and say that I'm making up an injury again. Instead of helping me get home and get someone to help me walk at the end of practice (I waited until they were done) they ignored me and I fucking hopped on one leg for about 1/2 of a mile to the closest payphone and got mom to come pick me up.
You'd think that at that point I would have given up football. Instead, I just sat out the rest of the season, worked out at the gym with the team on the off season, and shocked everyone by saying I was going to play again for my sophomore year. Sophomore year, I got through about 2/3 of the season without hurting myself, and without playing in any games, either, because I was inexperienced compared to the rest of the team since I didn't get any practice freshman year, and the coaches still didn't like me for some reason.
Then, my mom had the audacity to tell me I have to quit football because it's taking too much time. So I was forced to quit after all that. Worst football experience ever.

130 hours...i wasted 2 years. thats 2 years of two a days, two years of off season conditioning (9 hours a week, everyweek from december to june, two years of putting up with shithead coaches, two years of getting our asses kicked on the field because we suck, and then getting our asses kicked again by our coaches for sucking.
fuck football
p.s. its really fun to make fun of them though now that im not on the team. They manage to lose a 13-0 lead to the worst team in our conference last night.

Nah, can't join up another team, this is school shit, i play for my school or i don't play i guess. The coach kicked me off RIGHT AFTER i put like 600$ into it. Probably more. But yes, i am in a lot better shape in any case.

Well hawk, i guess that's pretty legitimate, but i forgot to mention that i thougth i had a ride up until i had to be there. I had to be there at 11:30 or 10:30 or something, then at like 10:30 she was refusing to give me a ride, Thus all the other players were there already, and i was just sitting there helpless. And being late happens when your up 2 hours before it hapepns and you rparents refuse to get up until a half hour before then insist upon taking a shower and doing this that and other bullshit, like it's some sort of social event, which leads to 5 minutes late now, well now i can drive and if that ever happens again it's most likely going to be my fault, and i will except responsibility for being late if i could of helped it, but in this case i couldn't, since i didn't drive at the time.
And i never got his contact information, he said it was on there website, http://www.clarkstownsouthfootball.com Most confusing website ever, wrost layout i have ever seen in my entire life, and i have been on myspace before. Not so much confusing as it is irritating.

Something tthat makes me feel better has to be that they are 3-0, very cocky, and that there next 2 games are going to be disappointment's, one of which will be broadcasted. They will Definitly get smashed by John Jay, at the football camp John Jay stomped on us terribly, 20-0 was the final score, and towards the end there 2nd string was beating us, then we finally were able to do damage to 2nd/3rd string as it ended. North Rockland Might lose, but i doubt it, it's a school of over 3000 kids and we have 1500. I mean every game i go to, or hear about, it's my hatred of this faggot ass coach and my desire to see him lose, battling with my love of my friends on the team and a desire to see them succeed, but since one of those Pricks on the football team has decided to spread a rumor about me. That i told people they used crack at football camp. Any tool stupid enough to beleive that isn't worth my time though, and i thought that fuck-up was my friend.

Some coaches are bad, some coaches are good. I'm starting to see a trend toward more positive enthusiastic coaching styles in Texas. I played football, and my sophomore year and junior year we get a hotshot offensive coordinator from a top 5A school(multiple state titles) that became head coach at our school. He was a great offensive coordinator but not a good coach. Always pissed off and yelling, didn't know shit about anything but offense.
My senior year we got a coach who was fucking amazing. Knew how to motivate everyone, brought the team together. He didn't have as much offensive knowledge, but he was a much better overall coach. We went just as far my senior year with a much less talented team with him than my sophomore year. He was funny as fuck and everyone always had a good time.
Yes I realize this is a late late reply, but felt I should post it.
