Well in the tradition of the other players here i decided to make a quick vod. I used FRAPS which in Heine site probably was not a good idea because the size was huge and even after compresing came down to about 300mbs. The quality is pretty good though.
Now if your going to flame me, go ahead, but atleast add some constructive criticisms. Using FRAPS was a really laggy experience for some reason on my computer, sometimes worse than camtasia, and some of it made me play horribly but whatever. I'm not very good though.
The game was on iccup against pg.sven on longinus. I forgot to pick my race Protoss and ended up random zerg vs protoss ;(.

Camtasia will almost always be less laggy than Fraps for SC, so I recommend you use that And which program you use to record won't have an effect on filesize, they both output uncompressed video (well, they both should if you configure them right ).
Still downloading it atm, but I'll try and give you some encoding tips after I do (and can see the video length and watch it a bit as well )
Edit: Okay, now for the encoding advice - Don't use DivX, use XviD, its better - Compress your audio, that will make a big difference - Use VirtualDub to encode it, its pretty straightforward. - When using VirtualDub + Xvid, tell XviD to do a Two-pass encode. First, tell it to do the first pass, and just let it run. Then, when its finished (without closing VDub) go back to compression and change it to second pass. In the second pass, you choose your bitrate or filesize. If you choose bitrate, you're going to have to experiment, but you can probably get by with some pretty low bitrates (500-750). A Two-pass encode will help you get smaller filesizes while also preserving image quality
Anyway, that'll probably help you make your vids in the future a bit smaller. Good luck, and thanks for the VOD
Oh, and one last thing about compressing your audio, just so you'll always remember to do it, here's the output from GSpot: Video: 110MB Audio: 197MB

It's just like tec27 said. For more details you can see Spitfire's vod making guide (a video that I can send you if you pm me or you can probably dl it somewhere).
Regarding the vod: how do you find such a gm person? Whenever I make a mistake and hope my opponent will be nice about it, I get crapped on haha.
Edit: the file is "VODmaking manual by Spitfire_ua.avi"

Haven't watched it yet, but here's a version w/compressed audio (125MB total).
