The other night i got hit on by a bisexual guy, quite aggressively i may add, i was telling some girl about it and she went into how being gay should be illegal, it was an intersting covnersation, i figured i would post it. The ending is classic.

And homeless people don't do anything to benefit our society either, neither does organized religion, there are many things that exist that don't benefit society, but we don't ourright ban/make illegal things that don't benefit society.

Anyone who's wrong is OBVIOUSLY off track seeing as how my religion has the only correct views. Things like these should just come NATURALLY to people, kind of like how they come NATURALLY to me after years of being brainwashed with it.

It is basically a moot point to begin with. You can't reasonably ban a preference, only actions. If you want to make sodomy illegal, I'm not sure if I agree with you but at least that's not inconceivable. Making it illegal to be a homosexual is quite inconceivable. That's like making it illegal for your favorite color to be green. Good luck with that one.

One of her arguements for why being gay was wrong was "If it's being gay is "right" then why is it banned in most states?" (Referring to gay marriage/Gay couples adopting) My response was "Because most states are dominated by religious nutjobs like yourself"

People attempt to argue that if your gay and you adopt that your kids will be gay, as if that's a bad thing or something, i am personally indifferent to it, i mean i guess i would prefer my kids were strait, but if they weren't then it's still fine. But if given the option of no home, no education, or a home with gay people and a standard education, which would you choose? Why not let the kids choose wheither they want to be adopted or not, if a kid says no theres always another kid who will say yes. (But honeslty whose going to choose to not be adopted?)
Also i guess you could argue that not having a male and female influence could change a child, but then again it leads back to my same point that, either no parents or 2 of the same, either no or little education, life of an orphan or life of the child of a gay person, honestly, i know what i would choose.

The only reason why it would be bad for the kid is because there are so many people in society who think being gay is wrong. People who say that tend to be self fulfilling their own statement. It leaves us in a sad state of affairs;(

Being gay is not banned in any state, nor can any state enforce such a law. The issue of homosexuality is touched by privacy: a person's sexual orientation is obviously private, but it is not the identical issue. One is a moral issue and one is legal. Legally, we cannot outlaw homosexual orientation, only homosexual acts, and since privacy demands that homosexual acts remain unstated, there is only the small matter of de jure recognition that homosexual relationships enjoy the same social status as heterosexual ones, which I think, is a fairly useless endeavour.

i ment that gay marriage is illegal, or that adopting if your a gay couple is illegal, i should of been more clear.

As i know how old you are i guess that girl is still a kid, no wonder she gives such a output and probably it comes from mega oldfashion parents .
For me nothing is wrong for beeing homosexual, i would even not care if they would adopt kids, since not the gender is important , it is what you give the kids and teach them. The only problem is the our nice world with all it´s religions that think they know all better.

Yeah i agree i say gay like ah thats so gay when something grows wrong out of habit but i have nothing against homosexuals. And theres nothing wrong with being gay. If a person told me they were gay i wouldn't think or look at him any differently if he was straight. The reason is the Us is abit homophobic in nature. Probably from the media.
But like i said not worth arguing with her.
