First of all, this is not a Starcraft channel, although it is tangentially related to gaming and digital entertainment.
If you want the TL:DR then here it is:

This is a personal project I've been working on to learn video recording and production. The Pro Dice Tour is a slightly goofy concept that combines entertainment, sports, humour and dice. A LOT of dice. If you're intrigued by the concept then check out the channel and feel free to leave comments or feedback either here or on YouTube. I know I still have a lot of areas to improve on.
Let's start with the link:
So around this time last year I decided I wanted to learn a new skill and try something different, and video recording and production seemed like a good place to start. After buying a camera as an investment to keep me committed and completing the beginners tutorial for DaVinci Resolve, I was ready to get cracking. All I needed was an idea.
I made a shortlist of ideas based on my skills and areas of expertise, but none of them really jumped out at me. I wanted a concept that could reach a global English audience, would be fun to make and also have at least some potential to take off and go viral. Rather than start out with simple point and shoot videos, I decided to try something more challenging that I would personally enjoy doing.
Enter the Dice Sports Network.
The Pro Dice Tour is a slightly goofy concept that combines entertainment, sports, humour and dice. The idea, set, events, team names, logos and everything else is entirely my own creation. There was a lot of trial and error along the way and I still feel there are many cool features in Da Vinci Resolve that I could make better use of, but after almost a year I decided I had completed enough videos to a production standard I was satisfied with, and I officially launched the channel a few weeks ago.
So far I've only sent the link to family and friends, and they have been very supportive. The next step is trying to reach a wider audience than people who personally know me, so I thought it was time to post the channel in a more 'public' forum to get some honest feedback from people who have no reason to be overly nice (but positive feedback is also welcome!)
I'm trying to make each video slightly better than the previous, and I feel like I'm learning a lot as I go and making progress with each event. To be honest, I'm still learning about the algorithm and how to reach more viewers, so if there is anyone here who has experience with launching a new channel then any advice or tips are welcome.
My current goal is to complete the entire ten event series and then reevaluate, and perhaps think of some ideas for shorter videos I can add to the channel that are less production intensive.
Thanks for reading, and I hope the Dice Sports Network can provide you with some lighthearted entertainment to counteract what's going on in the real world these days.
