Hasselblad Xpan 2 (Panoramic camera)
+ Show Spoiler +
Photography is just an endless pit of acquiring gears. This camera with 2 lens costed me around 2800USD total.
What is it? Basically a panoramic film camera. (it's 2 standard 35mm film wide, but vertically it's the same) So why a panoramic camera instead of just using your phone? Because it doesn't need stitching, it avoids any difference in stitching quality and most importantly, movement and lighting.
I took this camera to Singapore and well, it's much harder to use than I was expecting.

The focus is off quite easily, mostly because the focus window is in the middle, and I prefer having the subject on the side. It makes for incredibly weird focus (you gotta focus the subject in middle, then move the camera for framing)
Because vertically it's so narrow but so wide, it's a very different camera to use.
I am not 100% if I will keep the camera to be frank, the scanning process (film to digital) is extremely hard. There's dust, the color is always off, the adjustment in computer basically makes the experience more of a digitial camera process.
Forunately this camera will retain the value and I can sell without much of a loss if any.
Xiaomi 13inch Laptop

Sadly my chromebook touch screen died after a year and the slow down is frankly a little more annoying.
I was tempted to get a pixel book (1000USD chromebook) but I could do so much more with 1000USD outside chromeOS.
So why exactly this laptop? It's a 13inch, sturdy, macbook copy laptop.
It can do gaming with MX150 (I am playing Destiny 2 at 720P witth low everything, at around 50-60FPS)
It also has a m.2 SSD as main drive, I could boot into windows within 15 seconds max from cold start. And that's with rainmeter, wallpaper engine etc all running.
Very good purchase, I got it for around 550USD.
In fact I am typing this on it now.

iRock capacitive keyboard
+ Show Spoiler +
This costed me 100USD.
I am a sucker for mechanical keyboard, around 3 in total now.
(one is signed by Jaedong!)
I really bought it on impulse because it just feels so different to type on. It feels like butter instead of having a feedback like most other keyboard.
There's one more keyboard I want to try, it uses a mechanism called hall effect which involves magnet. Apparently it's out of production but some chinese manufacturer is trying to bring it back.
Anyway on this keyboard, don't buy if you just want a keyboard. don't buy if you are only touching on mechanical keyboard. buy if you want a cheaper alternative than Topre.

I had a minor traffic accident and I thought I was a gonner.
The car crashed into sidewalks in a high way and time slowed down and I took a look around my family.
I could feel/sense a truck is going to crash into the back of our car and that's it.
I didn't think it was such a bad way to go, I was pretty calm, sad that it's ending so soon, but not completely annoyed by the fact that it's ending.
My sister reacted very differently, she was scared and angry she almost died.
This made me dig into philosophy, in particular nihilism and existentialism.
Interestingly after reading them, I realised most of the books I liked are written by existentialists, such as woman in the dunes.
Anyway, till next time!
