nice art + Show Spoiler + Also, if she is an Angel, why is she standing at the beach, naked, glancing over her shoulder in a flirtatious way? I thought temptation was a strength of the other side

Also if you gonna go there, wasn't man first born naked until the forbidden apple was eaten and all the impurity, temptation, and shame came with it? :D

I agree that the angel's expression is sadness or despondency. Of course the angel you've drawn is not real, in nature two wings are never exact replicates .

the wings aren't exact replicates, he slightly reforms the right one after mirroring it They are way too small to fly with though, even if angel anatomy included bird stuff like hollow bones. And I'm failing with imagining a physical non-technical concept that creates a halo. @naked Considering that Adam and Eve only wore clothing after they ate the fruit, it doesn't make much sense for angels to cover themselves. That being said I've yet to see a Christian pre-renaissance depiction that shows them naked.

They would be so big it would be kinda ridiculous to draw. actually it could work but the composition would have to be completely different, the wings would reach their feet and maybe wrap around the body like cloth. But good thing we are dealing with angels and physics be gone! lol.

But yeah realistic angels would need compromises in physique anyways. Humans are way too heavy and not strong enough to fly, even with big wings. Do you have a link to the guys who came up with concepts like cloth-like wings? Sounds like a cool concept to play around with.

Either the angel is supposed to be pretty/delicate like yours, so the wings need to be small to give an impression of fragility, or it's supposed to be imposing, which allows for big wings but usually comes with lots of clothing/armor cause naked people are less impressive. Except for the barbarian type, but Schwarzenegger isn't really what you'd want an angel to look like. But yeah realistic angels would need compromises in physique anyways.
