[Story] An Unfortunate Encounter

Prerequisite: Chapter 1

Since meeting Scouty, we have traveled across many lands and have become very close friends. For someone as young as he was, I was very impressed with his level of knowledge. He seemed to know quite a bit about us terrans; about our way of life, our structures and units. He also seemed to know about the zerg, the plague that have forced them from their homes and is ravaging the galaxy as we speak.

He also told me about his own life. He had a big brother, a carrier nicknamed Carry, who was a beacon of honor while his smaller brother, a corsair nicknamed Corsy was quite mischievous. Secretly, I hoped that one day I could meet them. I've read a lot of books about the protoss race back home.

As we talked more, for an outsider, it would've looked like we have been best friends for years. Maybe the protoss are closer to us than we think? I remember muttering this thought to myself. Eventually, we landed on a little planet called heartbreak ridge, HBR. I posted a map below:

As we made our way through what seemed to be a mostly deserted planet, we stumbled across some zerglings. Hiding our presence, we slowly followed them and then I saw it. I froze! Far off into the distance, it stood. Floating above a mineral patch, it looked to be in rough shape but no doubt, it was a command center that was slowly burning. It was hard to tell how long it's been burning for. All I could see were pieces crashing to the ground at an alarming rate. At this rate, it was going to come crashing down if it doesn't land soon.

On further inspection, it looked like there were zerglings all over the place. What did we walk into and what the hell is going on here? At that point, my rationality was thrown out the window as I racked my brain trying to think of a way to save it. My only thought was creating some sort of diversion to draw the zerglings. However, before I could even react, my worst fears were confirmed! IT was there! A queen!
