EPTaLive vs Dark on Frost TvZ
I think this is about as one sided as it can get in proleague, with Dark the best Zerg in the world facing aLive, while the matchup has proved troublesome for some Zergs, Dark was able to beat iNnoVation today and has not struggled in the matchup in the past. I think its very unlikely that aLive can pull of an upset. Dark to win cleanly, either holding the cheese or just out playing the Terran in a standard game.
Super vs SoO on Overgrowth PvZ
While this series is not exactly good for Afreeca it is probably their best chance for a second win in the series, with SoO being somewhat erratic with his form recently and Super showing some good play against Gumiho in his last outing. This is one of the must wins for Afreeca if they want to get a shot at forcing an ACE Match. SoO should take it, but this is not as secure as Dark vs aLive.
Bomber vs Dream Frozen Temple TvT
Bomber went 0-4 in his SSL group against Cure and Maru, both great players slightly above the level of dream, although Dream has barely played any official TvT's recently so its very hard to know what position he is in. I would say this is going to be the first of many games where the Freecs will rely on Bomber to get them the win.
Patience vs Classic on Dusk Towers PvP
If we get to this matchup, which is fairly unlikely in itself i wouldn't be surprised to see some cheese from Patience as Classic is a tier above Patience right now, while Patience made it into code S he had a much easier opponent as well as a different match up to practice for. I think Classic will take this easily in standard game, perhaps some cheese from the Afreeca Protoss will be needed.
ACE Match King Sejong Station
In the ACE i think Bomber is the obvious Choice for the freecs, given the high chance of Dark being the ACE player for SKT that gives them a TvZ on a good map for the terran. While its still unlikely that Bomber can take it, its better than anything else they have. For SKT if Dark has a poor performance, or they want to give somebody else a shot i would expect to see SoO, iNnoVation or Classic out there for SKT. However its so hard to predict with such a strong lineup all around. I think it will be 3-0 to SKT with only Bomber having a chance to make it 3-1.
KT Rolset vs CJ Entus
Leenock vs herO on Frost ZvP
Despite Leenock losing to stats 3-1 in Code A he showed in April that he can beat Protoss as he defeated herO himself in a round 2 SPL game. Overall Leenock is still in pretty bad shape. herO has seen better days, but he still a top Protoss and with recent wins coming over Rogue and Curious in SPL he has shown himself to be atleast competent in PvZ. I think herO should take this one for CJ, if he doesn't then its quite likely there will not be an ACE match.
TY vs Byul on Overgrowth TvZ
Like Leenock Byul also hold a previous win over his opponent in last round of SPL, but since then has been relatively poor overal, scraping through a 3-2 win over Creator in GSL code A, Byul still has a ling way to go to reach his previous dizzy heights. TY unlike the other 3 players mentioned so far is flying high, with this being his best year to date, as well as looking very strong in TvZ 3-0ing both DeParture and Solar in a recent online cup. Even with a good map for Zerg, the slight trend towards Terran in ZvT and TY's ability should give the KT Terran an easy win.
Zest vs MC on Frozen Temple PvP
MC really drew the short straw on his return to professional Starcraft, getting the best player in the world on his first official game back. MC i hope will go for some crafty build and/or cheese to try and catch Zest off guard. Playing a macro game is exactly what Zest wants, and is incredibly unlikely to end well for MC.
Stats vs RagnaroK on Dusk Towers PvZ
This is another incredibly hard matchup for CJ, as Ragnarok was able to defeat Stork 3-2 in Code A, but this is another task entirely. Stats is the second best Protoss in the world, and recently crushed his teammate Leenock to secure Code S for the last season of GSL. I think Stats takes this game for sure, denying CJ the ace match.
ACE Match on King Sejong Station
These two teams are some of the most obvious teams when it comes to ACE players, sending anyone out but Zest for KT would be a shock, except for possible TY if Zest is uncharacteristically poor during his game. For CJ it should almost certainly be the star player of the team, herO. He is almost always their ACE becuase, well he is their best player and its not very close. I think the series will end 3-1 with herO getting CJ's only win.
