Hey Guys, another hopefully relaxing art video for ya! Based on the feel, is the subject your best friend, girl next door? girl friend? True love? a highly trained Russian assassin with a glock under the desk asking you what the security code is? I dunno.. you tell me.
Anyways, the video also mentions a bit about my Patreon campaign which you can ignore. I see TL as my home online so I don't really need support from you guys. (plus TL already helped me a lot in the past)
Basically financially it's my best interest to keep doing commissions. Though the truth is I really want to make tutorials and more art videos. From my pov I can either spend my time that could benefit tens of thousands of people or doing a few drawings for a few individual. This is a way for me to see if I can do the formal instead and make more contents and tutorials for everyone. Cheers!

I have done practice sketches in scenarios you described. coffee shop, park etc. the few time when they realize what i'm doing they don't get angry, some girls tends to get shy and self conscious though lol, some actually love it and find it flattering.

Thats actually quitte disturbing.
It's really not, its actually fairly standard practice for art students to go to places like coffee shops, art galleries etc to practice drawing people in more dynamic environments. It forces you to act quickly and not stress about details, you aren't working with a model who is trying to be still but people in motion. Coffee shops can be quite good as people tend to move a bit but generally hold the same overall position for some time so you can do more detailed sketches.
Art galleries are similar, people tend to stand and look at a painting for a few minutes before moving on but not long enough for too much detail.
I guess it might be odd if you haven't done it or seen it before, but unless you just don't frequent these places I can't imagine you haven't seen someone doing it, they're usually pretty discrete. At the end of the day you aren't going to be a great artist if you just sit in a studio or draw from pictures and unless you're rich enough to have a steady supply of models then chances are you're going to have to go out into the public and draw them to develop your skills.
Hey Glider! Glad to see all of your work taking off. I can concur on the drawing random people, my best friend does it all the time. I even used to do it all the time when I was drawing, definitely something that's pretty normal among artists.

it would make for a really interesting drawing with raw emotion at least!!! i don't think it's "creepy," i think that's pretty awesome!
adding to the patron thing at the start of the video... Guys, don't forget Glider does commissions too. They aren't cheap, but if you ever have need of a really special gift!! + Show Spoiler +

I don't know, after all we live in a world where literally everybody in public is doing photos of other people with their smartphones all the time, and often enough people take photos of strangers, too.
Investing a personal effort to draw other people by hand instead is not what we are used to seeing all the time in public, but compared to the smartphone situation it is actually quite likeable and maybe even a little romantic.
