Learning about SC (and the people who play it)

Hi fellow TeamLiquid folks. I'm making this blog because this didn't seem like an appropriate thing to throw into SC2 General. At the moment I'm working on a thesis for a master's degree in anthropology, and my subject is digital competition - specifically, Starcraft. As part of my research, I'm hoping to talk to a variety of people who play and watch the game to just get their thoughts on why they play/watch and what they look for in a good game. Naturally, TL is the first place I figured I'd look for participants.

If you're interested, shoot me a PM with your preferred means of being contacted (bnet is fine). I'm not looking to dig into personal details or anything, I really just want to talk about Starcraft for 10-20 minutes. + Show Spoiler +

In the extremely unlikely event that a question makes you uncomfortable, you can just elect not to answer it. No biggie.

No real names needed and if I refer to you in the paper at all, it will be with identifying details removed.

To prepare for the interview, feel free to play or watch some Starcraft and think about why you love it (or hate it).

Are you only interested in people who currently play sc2, or are you also interested in talking to people who used to play the game / people who currently play brood war? I'm always happy to help people out with research - but I haven't really played sc2 for like, 3 years.

As I told someone else, I'm all ears when it comes to BW, as well. So if you want to talk about that, that's great. And if you used to play SC2 but stopped (and can remember the circumstances), that could also be helpful.
