I have the same pic of Puente del Inca (well, everybody who's been there has it ), but covered with snow... beautiful. That place holds a special place in my heart, among my favourite memories from my childhood was doing "culipatín" there ^.^

I was at Zillertal (Austria) for Snowboarding few years ago. I sweated to death while there was -29°C on highest mountain with clear sun.

Surely, it's over 30 degrees (Celsius) in the lowlands all the time in summer, but these pictures all show places that are over 3000 meters above the sea level, some of them even more. Here in the northern part, it was pleasant even at 5800 - with temperatures slightly above zero, but on the more southern mountains, it was one day really chilly even in 5000 and it was like -15 in the night. On the other hand, in Antofagasta de la Sierra, which is only 3300 it was unpleasantly warm during afternoon hours - the air is not too hot (maybe 20), but the Sun is just scorching. We have chosen high summer even though we all hate hot weather, because in other parts of the years, the cold above 6000 meters is just unbearable. The "frozen desert" around Bonete was a really weird experience. It indeed dose look like you are supposed to feel hot from looking around you, but you are freezing instead!
