hope u guys like it, thx for sharing ur opinions on this during it's earlier stages! Altho i think i should've done a bit better on this one am overall happy with it, hope u feel the same. This is drawn with colored pencil on 30x42 cm bristol board.
The original is for sale so if some of u guys r still in LotV hype and are interested in supporting my art, let me know c: Else, i uploaded prints of that fanart as i usually do with all my work on: http://society6.com/dendareloaded
Sorry for not making timelapse videos like some people asked me to do, i work way to chaotically on different drawings all the time and don't have the discipline to draw it all in one take etc. let me know what u think below/any kind of criticism appreciated! Also i'd want to finish kerrigan in the coming weeks c:
I completely understand why a timelapse of this would be hard to produce hahaha as this a very detailed piece.
But as a viewer, I wouldn't mind as long as the piece is centered, if the background changes or there are sudden skips. It just takes more effort from you to record and produce videos, but imo it's very good for marketing.
I mean, I would watch the video and share it with others. And of course, I appreciate the intricacies much more when I watch a timelapse.
It's a bit similar to how this makes me appreciate the piece of music more. Even if it's just a simple view of the different tracks without the composition process
Of course in the end it's up to you, I'm only encouraging and wishing you the best
One reason not to produce timelapse videos is if you are currently not good enough an the videos will be a waste of time, but let me say that you are way past that threshold
That is sooo good!. Really impressive, congratulations.
I love the muted colours, how the light shows up the lines on his face, the shade under his eye, the light effect coming from his eye, how the background draws less attention than the foreground. Great job overall. His armour is beautiful and his eye is at an interesting angle.
@paddyz, thanks alot! also happy with how it turned out! @JieXian thank u for again motivating me to do a timelapse, but given the audience i have rn (which is close to zero btw) there wouldn't be much of a point anyway. i did more frequent updates on my queen of blades painting, which iss till unfinsihed. not sure if i shared it before, but i think this comes closer to a timelapse. will sure make a gif later once it's done in a few yrs lol. (the stuff at the right side is all one painting, i think i'll have enough material later for a gif: http://dendareloaded.deviantart.com/gallery/26730697/StarCraft )

Actually this is were you're mistaken because this is how you build an audience, by producing material to consume. You can do it many ways, one of them is by producing a video like theportraitart.
As a matter of fact, a lot of musicians are producing tutorial vids as a way to advertise themselves and their music. I keep quoting examples in music because I am personally producing music
All the best! Know that I appreciate art a lot and I do not give out undeserved praise. Usually on TL I either tell it as it is when I think something is bad or I just don't reply if my honesty will be too corrosive.
