Hi Team Liquid!

OK, so it's been a very long time since my last post, so I'm just going to do a HUGE picture dump of what I've been up to...

HAM on the CORE ham from Heroes of the Storm

Inspired by Artosis yelling "THEY'RE GOING HAM ON THE COOOOREEE" during the ASU vs Berkeley finals at Heroes of the Dorm. This is glazed ham with apple chutney.

It was actually super easy and it was my first time ever making crepes. :D

Just take your time on the prep and you'll be golden!
I will say the recipe is a bit on the carb heavy side though.

OMG soo cute! Such a great blog!

I'll definitely try out the protein powder recipe for sure! I'm assuming it's ok to substitute another powder in lieu of the quest one?

Yep! The quest protein powder is designed to work in baked goods, so if you're using another brand, you might get a slightly different texture.

2 questions
- Do you add protein powder for a specific reason or just for the extra protein

?
- What kind of potato is that, because it seems to me that 3 mins of baking a potato, even if it they are cut to fries, will still leave them raw?

Ahh carbs tt the enemy. However im sure the chicken + protein powder would make up for it? Or atleast help i believe :3

That quest protein powder is an INCREDIBLE discovery. Gonna pick some of that up for sure. Gotta get mah GAINS. Also those crepes look soooooooo good. Gonna give 'em a shot for sure.

So most of the protein powder recipes are in collaboration with Quest Nutrition, which is why they have some sort of Quest product in them. :D

I used Yukon gold potatoes, and I cut them fairly thin, so they're kind of like home fries.

On average, I spend between $20 - $35 USD on my recipes. Of course, there are some crazy expensive ones (like my Prime Rib recipe -- that was like $70...), but usually, they're not super expensive.

I am buying the fancy organic stuff from Whole Foods, but if I went non-organic, it would probably be like $7 cheaper or something. :X I'm definitely saving more money cooking at home than I did when I used to eat out all the time!

how long do you let your crepe batter sit? i've heard different things about the length of the rest effecting fluffiness and stuff and I really only make myself sweet breakfast crepes (ie strawberries, blueberries, etc). Never done any to be used pretty much as a wrap.

Oh, I didn't really let it sit for very long... Maybe 5 mins or so while the pan was heating :O
Since the recipe I wrote has protein powder in it, it made the crepes pretty dense so they weren't as fluffy as regular crepes.
