I really don't get the fratricidal exclusivity of BW and SC2. Why do people insist on monogamy with hobbies? I think it's the same tribe-formations that make bitter rivals of different kinds of baseball fans or even different kinds of religious or ethnic groups - it just seems natural for humans to define themselves in communities and to define their communities against out-groups. Is BW mechanically more demanding than SC2? That's an empirical question and I think it's generally agreed that the answer is yes. But then, chess isn't mechanically demanding at all - doesn't mean it's easy. Is it easier to win an SC2 game than it is to win a BW game? Just ask Flash, Jaedong, or Stork. But I again return to the question - who cares? If BW is your thing, play BW. If SC2, SC2. | ||
