Question about Motor Bike Trip Canada to USA

I have a Honda CB600 2004 (599 or hornet), and i would like to travel the USA this summer. From Montreal to USA. I am kind of scared to know if my bike can handle the very hot temperature in places like desert etc. Can anyone help me on this ? Is my bike fine for it or should i buy a new bike for this kind of road trip. (talking about 800km a day)
