Ahh Saturdays... A whole day to relax and forget about work. aaaaaaaaand maybe go on a sojourn through some of the most crowded, dirty, depressing stores to grace the face of the planet? Walmart you ask? Nope. I'm talking about Goodwill 50% off Saturdays! Where it takes 30 minutes to ring up one person because why not buy 40 articles of clothing and other assorted crap and rip the sticker/tag off the most expensive items in the hopes that it will get replaced by one that is cheaper?

After browsing through the book section (Oh what's this? The same 3 ENTIRE SETS OF THE TWILIGHT SAGA THAT HAVE BEEN HERE FOR 2 MONTHS!?!? HOW HAS NO ONE PICKED UP THIS FANTASTIC SERIES BY NOW!?!?) I hit up the electronics (never anything good) before stopping by the "Miscellaneous Crap" racks.

I've been wanting to expand my garden for a while now but seeing as I'm moving out of my current rental in December, IMO my best option is pots/planters. Have you priced those lately though? Sheesh, talk about overpriced(inb4 iCedar iPlanter iBoxes i by Apple®) No luck here though. As I make to leave a wild wooden box appears! For 5 bucks why not? I knew this was the beginning of an epic quest of discovery...

At the other Goodwill in the area I quickly find a decent sized clay pot, a random plastic box that should serve well as another planter, another wooden box and an infant plastic bath thingy. After some deliberation I put the wooden box and the infant bath back as I feel for the price they don't deliver enough space/are too flimsy.

As I cross from the "Miscellaneous Crap" area to the books I wander through the furniture section and a thought strikes me... Minivans have sliding doors so kids don't ding other people's cars! Also, if I put this dresser on its back I'll have a kickass planter box. 15 minutes after an employee says someone will be right with me... I end up walking into the employee only section and find the furniture guy leaning against a couch chatting with another guy... After feeling the burning stare of my hamster he changed his ways and reserved my dresser for me. Get to the choppa! Right after we skim through that book section... (Oh what's this? The same 4 ENTIRE SETS OF THE TWILIGHT SAGA THAT HAVE BEEN HERE FOR 5 MONTHS!?!? HOW HAS NO ONE PICKED UP THIS FANTASTIC SERIES BY NOW!?!? Also a million Tom Clancy and Stephen King books per usual)

Pro tip: complete your shopping BEFORE getting in the line instead of sending your kids off to get other random crap while the employee(you are seriously harshing his mellow) tries to ring you up. Finally I manage to bring everything home.

My agave is not doing so well. Time to transplant it I think. I also removed the front pieces from the drawers(the 2 boards seen on the right) Either whoever donated it took the handles off before doing so or Goodwill took them off to sell separately lol

I have a plan. Turn the moon into something I like to call a "Death Star". Next blog we begin "The Alan Parsons Project".

This describes my previous weekend exactly. You will never a more wretched hive of scum and villainy, and speaking of which, I saw VHS box set of the original Star Wars trilogy, but you never know how badly people have treated their video tapes. I also don't have a video player.

Also some crazy Vietnam vet walked up to me and started babbling and it was AWKWARD for everyone.
