I finally filled my childhood dream to have my own SNES, bought some pack online that had some games I wanted.
Games were boxed, not in great condition but still. The snes also is not prime, required some shaking sometime to get things going.
Games I bought includes: Super Mario World Super Mario World 2, Yoshi's island F-Zero Lost Vikings Asterix and Obelix Street Fighter 2 Donkey Kong Country Donkey Kong Country 2 Flashback The great circus mystery starring Mickey and Minnie Starwings Kirby's Ghost Trap Darius Twin Super Mario Kart Pop'n Twin Bee
I have still to find these games: Zelda: A link to the past Castlevania 4
But after that, I guess it'll be just browsing random game and buy them if I like what I see on long plays on youtube. I will be looking for Shmups, as I like them but don't know anything about .
Damn those games are hard, Street Fighter (not the turbo edition sadly) kept kicking me on the first fight! Asterix and Obelix has such great art but you restart from the very beginning :D Not used to that hardcore!! So I'm just replaying super mario world for now, it's incredible how good it is.
Of course I could've just bought the game on WiiWare, and I did few years back but I couldn't play at all, the controller was so laggy!! I am not disappointed now, controls are sharp like I remembered.
My mother lost my N64, which is my first console, I had some good game on that one too. Mario 64, Pilot Wings. It stings but it wouldn't be too costly to replace.
Cheers, nostalgia! Almost bought a Famicom, but that's a story for another day, I got outbid.

Get Earthbound. One of my favourite games ever. Nobody I know that's played it has ever been disappointed by it.
|
I would recommend Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars if you like RPGs
|
Mega Man X Super Game Boy just in case
Grats on your acquisition!

dude I just bought one last fall, best twenty bucks I ever spent at a garage sale! =D my friends and I beat super mario world a couple times over now, and we play bomberman some nights as a party game =P congrats! they're soo much fun

Congrats! Yoshi's island is still the best 2D platform game to date with Rayman 1. Super Mario Kart is also still very fun, although my all-time favorite remains MK64. You're gonna need some RPGs, Chrono Trigger and FF6 are still great.
Do modern TVs even have an RGP or S-Video input?

Doesn't look like you're too into RPGs (FFIII, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG etc... some of the best suggestions out the window then).
Otherwise...
Good you got SMW and DKC series, they're pretty awesome. Yes to Zelda Link to the Past. Might want to try Megaman X and X-2. And Star Fox if you're into nostalgia.

Yeah, definitely I need Mega Man X but it's so expensive, the cheapest I've seen was like 100$.

I was thinking about this but I got outbid by at the end of auction when I wasn't following. Just like I missed street fighter 2 turbo :D so annoying but at the same time, I did the same for the package I bought, made my bet at the last minute (The site gives 5 extra minute after each bet and offers also automated betting if you feel this is unfair)

Terranigma on the other hand is not nearly popular enough (although those that have rated it on IMDB have given a pretty good average score). Terranigma is great!
