Ok so for the next stage of my training from a bronze league water boy into a GRAND MASTER WATER MAN I need to find a new favorite player to follow, study, and generally watch streams of.

I am looking for a top Zerg player of non Korean origin (I like to root for the underdog, and I find the Koreans to be too good).
Also I am sure I will never become better than this western player, so no matter how much worse he is than the Koreans, I will only end up learning more...

I have done a bit of searching and so far only managed to find Koreans. Could anyone recommend a few such players to help me out. If so it would be greatly appreciated.

Team Liquid has a few pretty good Zerg players... Two of which placed in the top 3 of SSC the other week.

I can tell you their names. One is called "The Little One" or more commonly "TLO" for short. The other is Snute. Both play quite well; TLO has a reputation for being an innovator, but Snute may be more friendly for newer players (from what I remember watching his stream some time ago, in how he explained what he was doing to the audience).

Both would be great choices. I hope you find a way to increase your APM and become the macro master! I know I would find it excruciatingly difficult to make it to masters...I'm just so slow .

edit: Also I'm sure you could just type "liquipedia" into google, then from liquipedia type in team liquid and they'd give you a list of their current roster (as with any other team!). Then follow the links and you can investigate their personalities, best games, which generally are listed on liquipedia. I just tested it actually, there are plenty of replay packs available and lots of interviews. An excellent resource for you

edit 2: Also if you want to search for other north american or european players, just type in "teams" in liquipedia, and they will give you a huge list of active teams in those regions...everything is there .

This list should pretty much cover all your options: http://aligulac.com/periods/106/?page=1&sort=&race=z&nats=foreigners

I think you'd be best off following Jaedong though. He's Korean but he's on EG and he's one of the most likable guys in the game (as well as one of the best). He streams pretty often too.

I don't see him very often, but by far my current favorite foreign zerg player is Dimaga. TLO is pretty awesome as well.

So I'm living in Germany for the moment and thus on EU time.

Forgive my ignorance but are all of the past games from these players saved somewhere, or how do ya'll watch these players. Do you check some database where all of their past games have been saved, or do you check into their stream?

If checking in at the time of their stream is the only option...how do I see a listing of the usual time that these players stream?

I'm pretty new to twitch TV as well, so I'm not sure how to check these questions.

Hey all thanks for the help again. I really appreciate it.

I am currently pretty interested in Snute: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Snute

Also somewhat Jaedong after checking up on what Banjo told me.

I unfortunately seem to be retarded as to how to navigate around team liquid or find replay videos. I don't even know what they're called, as I can't find "replay" anywhere.

Is there anyone you could link me a resource for past replays of these two people, or even what times they are normally streaming?

I have school, so I unfortunately can't be on nonstop to find this out. Can anyone help me out here?

Click on the VOD text to the left of each game description to jump to the game.

And check out this page from Liquipedia to find links to sites containing replay files if that is what you are looking for instead:

Follow ROOTCatz, especially the " inside my head " streams.
If you have a lot of time and tons of replay, Stephano is a good player to look at.
And if you are not afraid of the " old " games, you can seek for some Nestea's old game, and Day[9] old vids on youtube.

Ok great guys. I really appreciate all of the help.

My last question is regarding twitch tv. Some people I found mentioned that I should get emailed when people I follow start streaming. Can anyone tell me how to enable this so I get an email when Snute or Jaedong are streaming?

I've followed both of them on twitch, and on twitter, but I don't know how to enable this email or alert so that I can always tune in when I see they're online.

Not my last question actually. I have yet another......SORRY

Is there anywhere a website or resource detailing what strategy each player likes to go for? I mean such as certain unit groups (infestors), or harass, etc.

I was watching some more of what Day 9 was saying about finding a pro that does something that really interests you, unfortunately I do not have the time to go through the last 50 replays of a hundred different pros to find out what their tendencies are.

My vote personally is Dimaga, nice balance of creativity and standard.
