[FPL] Darkhorse vs Lorning: It continues

I decided to make this blog as an update to our little FPL grudgematch and how the battle has been going thus far. First off the matchup is actually incredibly close much to my surprise.



Let's take a look at what happened through weeks 1 and 2.

Lorning's recap: Holy Fucking Creator Batman

Lorning has been receiving some serious help from the true savior of Prime: Creator. With four straight wins including an ace match victory to help Prime defeat MVP, Creator has earned 15 points which has given Lorning more than 50% of his total. So so results from Lorning's "star" players have left him within reach despite the heroics of Creator. Soulkey earned 7 points while Rogue and TY earned 5 a piece. While Lorning wasn't hurt unduly by his anti team, Hydra did rack up 5 points to bring Lorning down a peg.

Darkhorse's Recap: Oh Me of Little Faith

Anyone would have looked at herO's week one and thought, "Man this guy is off! I have to trade him!" Unfortunately, I didn't stick it out for one more week for herO to earn a whopping 9 points in week two to improve over his week one 0 by beating KT Rolster in an ace match. Luckily, I traded the week 2 god for Trap, who managed to pick up two wins and therefore earned my 8 points to mitigate the loss. Bbyong picked up 5 for stopping Zest's win streak, Rogue earned 5, and Hurricane picked up 4 points over the two weeks. Jin Air earned 8 points for my team which helped to narrow the gap. While my main team has been lacking, my anti team has been working as intended with -4 total points over 2 weeks. I also was hurt by Solar losing his match against Zest, not having the opportunity to play against CJ because they won 3-0, and not being fielded in week 2. No being able to trade him has hurt.

Week 3 Lineups and Preview





Lorning has traded away one of his powerhouses in Soulkey who has surprisingly been benched this week. However Rain is playing two Excellent ZvP players in Solar and Rogue so that may backfire. He also traded Hydra from his anti team for DRG which was a wise move considering DRG is playing Flash while Hydra is playing State.

I ended up trading Hurricane for Squirtle due to Hurricane disappointingly not making the lineup at all in week 3. His trade value was pretty low so I didn't have many good options. Shine is finally making an appearance in the lineup so I traded him away for Terminator which may or may not have been a mistake I don't really know.

Lorning: 8 main team matches, 2 anti team matches
Darkhorse: 8 main team matches, 1 anti team match

Lorning Key player: Rain
Rain has been underwhelming in Proleague this year, and he faces two tough opponents this week. Lorning's points on the week depend a lot on what Rain is able to do and if he can get any points from people who aren't Prime's ace.

Darkhorse Key player: Solar
Solar is my Captain and has yet to pick up a win in this round. This week he plays Byul and Rain. He cost an arm and a leg when I picked him and I can't trade him away so I'm going to need him to get productive.

Sorry this is SUPER SERIOUS and lacks any real TRASH TALK. That will come later once I actually get ahead. Right now I am too tense because it is so close!
