One concern with any mod that has map-specific configuration and also has a pseudo-economy (ie PeepMode) would be map validation. You'd want to ensure that someone couldn't earn ranking or money or whatever by using their own custom maps. Perhaps the idea of checking for resource placement could be expanded to also check for other aspects of the map to constrain the possible hacks. Ultimately, it would be ideal if Blizzard provided some sort of map signature system especially for official maps so that mods could ensure a map was a valid ladder map, for example, before allowing application of the mod.

Suggestion for the background of the badges: I like how they are now but have you considered only having the ring extend as far as the stars do? Or just a little farther? I feel like it might emphasize the stars more as well as making it less cluttered overall, I'd mock it up for you if I knew how but... t.t | ||

Hey man thanks! Yeah lucky for me I don't really have to worry about any pseudo economy stuff. But I did consider the possibility that I might need to differentiate between two maps that have the same ID at some point. I figured I would just run a special function if a specific map ID comes up that checks other aspects of the map such as watch towers and elevation levels at specific points to make a determination. | ||
