I've visited the maphack websites where it shows a counter of downloads.. 1,000,000+.. You have what I call head-in-the-sand-syndrome. That said, most hackers are lazy and weak players who look for the cheap route to victory. Macro play and good mechanics typically demolishes them.

I've played SC for 14 years and have come across many hackers.. sometimes 100% sure they hack, sometimes 95%, etc. I've falsely accused people of hacking. I've falsely been accused of hacking. Hacking is a serious issue. But most people are not and accusing everyone of it just because the game offers tools that make the opponent know stuff without you knowing (like XNWT or just spotting while not being spotted) or because an opponent knows build orders and timings and you are not realizing how obvious you are playing is pretty stupid. And counterproductive if anything. Reporting each and everybody to blizzard because you can't deal with losing does not make the job to find real hackers easier.

I've gone over the replays of fishy ladder games maybe a few dozen times, and they've been definitely hacking at least 2/3 of them. Those are just the people that are bad enough at it to be obvious for me to CHECK. Yeah, you are right about this. Many people are naive about how easy and how rampant maphacking really is. I know guys who have maphacked since season 1 and never got banned.

Hacking is present enough that people are dubious, you can hardly blame them. A lot of "guilty until proven innocent" people here. Fantastic. I HAD TO DO IT. I HAD TO. ;-; omggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
