Weird, right? It's like playing Final Fantasy VII and renaming all your characters to "Sephiroth". That's just stupid (but funny). I asked a friend so i don't know if it's true, but he told me that on their website (big big thing) username needs 4characters minimum because if someone is bruteforcing a login/password, he will enter before the system can track that there is a bruteforce going on. With a 4character name, the system have the time to react because it takes more time. I don't know if it's true. Basicly it told me that when they didn't have the restriction. Especially for the user A. That's how he told me :p - BruteForce Starting for user A - BruteForce found password -... - Security system : "Hey there is a bruteforce going on on the server". Yeah but it's already passed through..

What people care about is personal preference, I don't go around calling people stupid or weird for how they like to identify themselves.

*insert stuff here* R *insert stuff here* D *insert stuff here* what a lame problem and name really, can't you think of any name other than RD? really? You have managed to write a long ass rant but cannot think of a creative way to have 3 characters for a name? I pity you. I remember something day9 once said, you should probably add "shadow" or "dark" to you name, makes any name sound cooler when you are 12. LOL Or you can be PORNO_SATAN, Horsebanger, actionjesus, manbearpig, PigBenis or DigBick

Or maybe you're a dull sort who has too little interest in customisation, identity, pointless rules that only inconvenience players and has no interest in sympathising with people who do. If you don't care, why the #@$% should anyone else, right? I suppose you call it a tantrum because his very reasonably worded post was too long for your liking, or he actually showed some expression on the matter therefore "Meh, I had to read that much just for someone complaining about something I don't care about? Quit your whinging!" Maybe you should stop posting in threads about topics you don't care about. ![]() On August 07 2013 18:59 woreyour wrote: 1st world problems? *insert stuff here* R *insert stuff here* D *insert stuff here* what a lame problem and name really, can't you think of any name other than RD? really? Yeah but it's already passed through.. That explatanion does not mak sense. Minimum password length should be long enough to detect an attempted bruteforce (especially since you are displaying the usernames for all the world anyway).

Wait what? Rubbish? LOL complaining for the ID limit is a great problem to have, RIGHT? hahaha Where his problem is too small and can be solve by putting a 3rd character pre, in between or after the 2 letters, what did you suggest to help him? eh nothing.. I am thinking your RD in a different TL account LOL I am not suggesting he copies them, but maybe he could try to think for a better character to add to his RD and then guess what? he has no problems. PS all those names were allowed, I have seen them in ladder / forum. heck actionjesus played for a tourney so..

And although the complaint is valid, the tone of the complaint is very entitled. No one would care if he said "Man, this sucks, I wish it was like this". But the tone is "I should be able to do this and its wrong that I can't. I shouldn't have to characters to my name that I don't want to. Its wrong." Most people are not objecting to the complaint, but the entitled tone the complaint.
