I have played Starcraft2 for a couple years, I tend to play on and off because I don't really have any friends that play as well, and it makes me not inclined to play the game. I would love to have people to talk to in SC2 and I thought, where better to look than the TeamLiquid website, I really enjoy SC2 but I really can't get into the game without people to talk with that are supportive. I am a bronze leaguer sadly, like I said i can't ever get into the game long enough to advance. I am hoping that with the support of anyone who is reading this I will be able to get into Starcraft2 and really get my blood pumping Starcraft like I have been able to with so many other games in the past. For me the people that I talk with in the game can make or break a game for me. Please Friend me in game if you wish and send me a chat, be a freindly buddy who I can really really sink into SC2 with. This is my first blog really, so please leave a comment to notify me of anything I am doing wrong and such, and where I can improve.

I would recommend looking up sc2 events in your city such as barcrafts and lans. Having sc2 friends that you know irl is a lot more motivating I find.

I have looked around, to an extent, for things like that but i live in a fairly small town, so not much really goes on, i have to drive several hours to the nearest paintball/airsoft arena. i will look harder though, thanks!

I guess in small towns it's kinda hard to find live sc2 events. One thing you can do is look up bnet channels for your town, or facebook groups. If there isn't one, just create your own and idle in there whenever you are online.

Hehe, there is a story behind my name, i don't really have a spleen in real life. I have a really rare blood disease called sphereoscytosis, basically i have a protein deffiency in my red blood cells that doesnt do anything to me really, but my spleen tries to correct it, and it makes my red blood cells sphereical, and it was killing me, I had my spleen removed when I was 4.

Hey buddy

You might want to try checking out the teamliquid irc channel. It can be very random and sc2 is not as popular of a topic there as it once was, so if someone makes fun of you or SC2, don't take it too seriously. :D
That aside, there's plenty of higher ranked players there and a lot of them will be glad to give you advice.

Not sure if there's a lot of people of your skill level there that still actively play, so finding practice partners might not be easy.
Still worth a shot, that's where i found most of my sc2 buddies. Granted, we just play dota 2 now, but hey! ^^

Other than that, might try some ingame bnet channels like others have mentioned, but i have no idea how populated those are..
Don't be hesitant to chat with people you face on ladder either. Sure, a lot of them might be mean or immature but if you get a good vibe out of someone and they seem keen to discuss the game, you might land a sc2 buddy right there.
After all, you will have to ladder sooner or later if you want to progress...
