So I was thinking, if aliens ever attacked Earth with superior tech and weapon strength (upgrades), what would be the only way for us to stay alive? We would have to out-macro them, right?
How would we out-macro them?
Well first, we need to build more bases and get more money. So we would need to make a bunch of farms and start getting a ton of crops. We would probably start mining a lot more for natural gas and minerals too. We would have to make a bunch of silos to hold grains to increase our supply.
The next step would be to build more production facilities. Now this would mean making a bunch of training facilities to teach our young men and women how to fight and to properly arm them for battle. So more barracks and factories.
But if the aliens had warp-in tech then we would REALLY need to start macroing hard. We would basically be up against their entire planet's population of warriors which they could warp in at will.
How could we possibly deal with that?
Polygamy. We need more larva. Monogamy just wouldn't cut it. I think we could modify the DNA of infants so we get a TON of females and a lot less males. More larva. Then we legalize polygamy. A couple decades later we would have plenty of strong warriors.
Now I know what you're thinking. "How would we even last long enough for polygamy macro to kick in?"
Well, lets not forget that those two decades are not really decades. They're Blizzard decades. A Blizzard decade is really only 6 months. So if we could build enough bunkers, turrets, and siege tanks to hold for about a year, we could probably macro up enough marines to repel the invasion.
Anyway, I hope the leaders of the world read this and enter this play into their strategy book in case aliens start warping invisible ninjas into our cities to kill all our construction workers.

Pshhh. All we need to do is upload a program to one of our helicopters to pick up a tank whenever an alien comes near it, and then drop it out of the aliens range to shoot.
polygamy macro rofl ! but we don't know so much stuff to imagine an alien invasion at least moderately precisely so we know what to do to defend at this point in time (in case we are actually being physically attacked the way we know it). if they come here and started doing stuff it could as well be for non-invasion/non-aggressive purposes which we perceive as invasion/attack.Like they can just come and start recalling humans to somewhere to be peacefully investigated and turned back or perhaps the aliens also have a lottery with some sweet intraplanet vacations so they picked a human to recall to some sweetass place and give him 5star universe services. In this case we would be like 'oh shit, they are evaporating our dudes! better attack them' and that wouldn't be optimal imo polygamy macro ftw

I'd love to think things like this would happen, but human beings are too greedy to cooperate in such a manner. There would be so much backstabbing between the governments of the world in an attempt to gain more power after the conflict, that we would never get a true unified resistance effort. As such, human beings would cease to exist, and the Earth would be destroyed.
