While rewiring my brain to match that of a more talented pro gamer is all well and good, I'd rather not volunteer my brain for the Telepathy alpha. The freezes, crashes and bugs would be unbearable.

The freezes, crashes and bugs would be unbearable. Imagine hooking up to someone prone to anxiety or some other disorder and putting them onstage or some other thing to trigger their disease. That could also provide some serious understanding to be shared. But like you said, it could possibly imprint the 'decoder' with the disease as well.

Imagine if a noob hooked their brain to a pro, and the pro was rewired to become a noob.

Interesting stuff... reminds me of the game 999 on nintendo ds.

Issues:
1 - Stargate 1 is not a dystopian future. 2 - So, while this is all interesting, how invasive exactly is the connection? I see wires attached to the head. Mice generally don't like that. Is it a surgically provided connection, and if so how invasive? 3 - It shows actions being transmitted, but how does that effect the Encoder's abilities? Does the Decoder suffer any other effects of the connection? Both are in identical cages except for the hole, and yet the decoder seems like it's trying to find one. 4 - In more complex animals, such as humans, how would this impact personality? (It's probably tough to argue about mice personalities - we can't read thoughts, or even if they have them in a similar way to humans. Unless they start talking, in which case they go back to their own dimension and stop mucking around building world-sized computers in ours.)

Find some bronzies and pay them to noobify pros and take them down a few notches so new players can rise and become new champions
