To be fair, I did play a campaign with chandler where he had the equivalent to a slave bolt (he was one of the floating fallout service droids); he basically couldn't disobey humans. It made for an interesting party dynamic, and chandler didn't seem to mind at the time.

I'll play the Sollustan hunter, scout and survival specialist Akal Deram. Always in search for a quick buck he has previously explored and hunted on more planets than he can easily recall. He has helped guide hunting parties, archeology expeditions, rescue operations, smugglers, and all kinds of riff raff through all manner of different terrains. If you need to reach something remote on a planet, Akal is usually pretty handy to have around.

As a Sollustan he is short of stature, about 150 cm (5 feet) tall, with greyish greenish skin, the typical big and round black eyes, big ears and jowls. Even for a Sollustan his build is lithe and athletic. He's got a blast helmet and vest over practical clothes in nature tones. Various useful bits and bobs are hanging off of him in small pouches and straps, most notably perhaps, the laser carbine on his back.

He finds himself on [planet] running low on money and looking for work, which he is not always that particular about. Smuggler moons tend to have parties of people trying to get to remote locations though, so he thought this might be a good place to look.

Akels Shehdar towers over most individuals at 215cm tall, his body is musclebound and bulky (he weighs 145kg). Stoic, with (usually) a scowl on his face, one is immidately drawn to the almost completely severed face tentacle on the right side of his face. On the same side of his body is a complex cluster of tattoos, they are the most thick on the torso and below the elbow on his right arm; looking close enough one can see faces of various species (usually quarren), and strange vistas (usually underwater).

He has these tattoos so he does not forget those he has wronged, and those who depend -- and depended on -- him. He usually wears darker clothing, black shirt and pants, overlain by a combat vest, underneath which is a vibroblade and a blaster pistol. Nearby, or resting on his left shoulder, is his ally and eternal friend a monkeylizard named Roro.

Due to his physique, and experience with street fighting and criminal organizations, Akels usually finds himself (much to the ire of his mother) in security, heist, or muscle jobs. He tries his best to avoid criminal activities, preferring more legitimate avenues of employment. Sadly these tend to not pay as well, and always in the back of his mind is the family that depends on his credits to subsist.
