Quick Oversized Shirt Question

maybe someone here knows clothes better than I do.

I wear size M (usually slim fit cut) and it fits rather loosely.

Now I'm looking for a shirt that is ridiculously oversized, but not as large that it becomes cumbersome.

What size am I looking for? XL? XXL?
Do XXL shirts have longer dimension or only wider?

XL will look like a shirt that is a really bad fit. The shoulders are really (way too) wide and you will look like a weak little stick that someone decided to throw a sack over.It'll look like you are a try-hard hip-to-the-hop-yo-yo-yeah weak stick with slim shoulders. The problem with XXL is that they are usually way too long. XXL will probably make you look like a weak stick in an oversized dress or a weak stick that someone decided to throw a bed sheet over. Both sound pretty ridiculous to me.

In general for sizes. The width increases more significantly than the length. The difference between XL and XXL in length is about 2cm. You got to keep in mind that that is not always true as sizes aren't always the same.

I'm really not concerned with the looks, as I wouldn't wear something like that in public.

It's just that I just won an awesome "Who killed Laura Palmer?" shirt and since I need something super-comfy for around the house anyways, I might as well take this.

Oh alright. I thought you wanted it for some costume or bad taste party. If you want a large comfortable shirt, I would actually go with XL if I was you.

Im 1.96 and most of the time, L fits me nicely, M is a bit of a squeeze, but still wearable and XL is quite loose

I'd say go with XL. if you get something too much larger than yourself it becomes rather awkward to move around.
