Sometimes you just gotta realize you aren't meant to do some things.

Everyone wants to be good at something, but you seem to be greatly underestimating what it takes to be great. If you even switched between games then you have already lost.

From what you have just written you emphatically don't want to be a progamer. You said it yourself: you don't even like games. If you don't like games, you have exactly ZERO chance of becoming a progamer. No, scratch that, you could, if you had a drill sergeant or crazed parental figure whipping your ass 24 hours a day...I'll let you in on a little secret though: You'd be fucking miserable. Being at the elite level in any pursuit is an 8-12 hour a day all the time commitment to train, and maybe .01% the nice thrill of victory. Guess what? EVERYONE likes that part. EVERYONE. You think anyone sane on the fucking planet would honestly not be not-so-into receiving an olympic medal or breaking a world record or winning a world championship....so long as they understood what that achievement stood for? EVERYONE wants to be the best. So you got attached to video games for some reason, it could be anything. Doesn't matter, everyone is chasing the same idea. But if you don't actually enjoy the games, its irrelevant. You'll never be a progamer. You'll never achieve the concentration that would be necessary to achieve it. Its a good thing too. If you did you'd be working 8-12 hours a day on something you'd hate while sacrificing every other aspect of your life. You can't get that time back. You know how many trophies it takes to wipe out the memory of 8-12 hours a day of misery for 3+ years? You'd be a depressed wreck if you won GSL every Sunday. You don't want to be a progamer. Keep searching. You do have a dream, the dream is to achieve excellence. Whatever pursuit you choose is merely a means to that end, but you'll never get there unless you love that means just as much as that end.

So no, then you haven't been putting in 8-10 hours a day for the last many months consecutively. You can't complain about not getting something when you quit after a few weeks.

Life has a lot to offer you aren't missing out on anything. Alot of people use games as a way to escape, which is fine I think it's good to have a hobby that really allows you to get away from it all. But when it gets to the point of playing games excessively I think that's when you may need to consider to re--evaluate your life.
