I've been more into classical music recently listening to songs like Moonlight Sonata and Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 73. Really great stuff even if you aren't a big fan of classical music:

A friend of mine recently sent me this link:
It's just amazing! You can feel the passion from the way he's playing! It's very beautiful and calming as well. Makes for interesting study music. It's just too bad it's short lol. What do you guys think? Anyone else here likes to listen to classical music?
I'm a huge lover of classical music as well! Been listening to classical music since I was really little. There's a lot of other classical music listeners on TL as well, and I got a lot of my music just from various TL threads.
If you just recently started listening to classical music and you enjoy Beethoven, I would also recommend the following:
And if you get to a time when you tire of Beethoven, and are ready for something a little better, try Bach:
Glenn Gould, a famous pianist and classical music commentator said, if I remember an interview/documentary right and paraphrase correctly, that Beethoven's music was about the struggle to achieve transcendence, and the magic comes from the struggle. For Bach, there was no struggle. It was effortless. It took me a long time to appreciate Bach. For a long time I thought it boring. Not anymore. Like certain books, sometimes you are not ready for certain music, until you are ready .
Thanks for the comments and well, I've listened to classical before but it was a song or two but I recently gained an interest so I want to listen to all lol. Thanks for all the links as well and nice to know there are other classical music lovers on TL!
I love you so much for making this thread. Was just going to search for some classical music. Bam! Critical hit right there. Love Beethoven's 6th Symphony too.
By the way: Is it normal to like classical music at age 23?
Why should your age make a difference? Classical music is not "old people's music", you know?
@ XDJuiceBox: You are right about Horowitz. I listened to his Rach 3 before going to bed last night. It is fantastic.
@ OP: Thanks for posting the Beethoven PC no.5. It's been a very long time since I heard it. I listened to it again, just now, at 4 in the am, and it hit me hard in a way that it never had before. Ethereal beauty just about begins to describe it.

Haha I know right? The audacity, the daring...I love how he looks so uninterested, but creates some of the most expressive music I've ever heard :D
Thanks for all the posted music guys, will check them out. That 2 hour one looks intimidating though due to its length XD
