So to throw out I have been to the doctor a few times, going again tomorrow and this issue has been around for 3 years since my first day of senior year in high school.

So don't say go to the doctor, I am, but so far everything we've tried hasn't worked.

The issue I have had for 3 years and doesn't seem to be going away is my stomach issue. The stomach issue being if I eat to much = throw up. Now that may sound simple "don't eat to much". This changes day to day.

I'll give you guys an example. One day I can eat 5 chicken strips with large fries from burger king. Next day I will barely be able to eat 3 before I start feeling sick to my stomach.

This is an example, I don't go out to eat that much or anything, but giving a brief example. One day I can seem to eat as much as I want, then the next I could be puking without even eating half.

I feel sick after eating a lot I would say almost every day (it doesn't matter the kind of food). I have lots of belching as well ( I swear to god I burp so much it's ridiculous and it's not a normal burp either, I couldn't explain how it is.

So with all the doctor visits we have tried a few things. Had some machine shoved down my throat (I was asleep) which resulted in them seeing nothing wrong. No problems, ok good I guess?.

Next they see if I have potential parasites or anything they do a blood test and I also do some sort of x-ray thing (can't remember the name). Nothing wrong (obviously there is).

So those are some tests we did on me to see if we could find anything. So far everything is "fine".

So that knocked out parasites and some other internal problem. They said it's probably acid reflux. I took those pills every day and it helps a little, but it didn't do anything for the most part. I still feel sick after I eat even a tiny bit to much (which again varies day to day).

Past 2 weeks has been awful though, it has gotten worse so going to the doctors I think tomorrow, sometime this week no matter what. I am 5 7 weigh 115 pounds ( I weighed 124 about a week ago, got sick, couldn't keep food down for 4 days and lost almost 10 pounds).

This has obviously stopped me from gaining weight because I can't eat like I used to.

So I ask anyone who has any ideas what this could be to say so. I can ask the doctor (I am not obviously going to assume anything anyone says is fact, but it's something I could talk to the doctor about as a possibility).

Cheers!

Yes most of you are giving the same change food habits, I know I have and am going to try again although I don't feel this will change as I still get sick eating as I said before whether it be healthy or not. As I also said when this first happened I literally only drank water and ate pretty much no junk (there were a few things here and there) for the first couple months and still got sick almost every day.

Thanks for the couple ideas I read below, one of those sounds almost exactly like what I have and will ask the doctor about it.

What exactly do you regularly eat? What % of your calories would you say you get from fresh fruits and vegetables?

Have you tried modifying your diet? ie, no junk food or soft drink.

hm chicken/ramen/french dip/pizza, not the healthiest foods for lunch/dinner. don't know the % I get from those, I hate vegetables but I do eat grapes/apples, no idea on the % of calories that would be though, I should admittedly eat those more then I do.

Dunno weird thing is about this is just one day it started happening. I go through my whole life and ate what I normally eat, then 1st day of school senior year and everything changed for the worse T_T.

Hm I did take out soft drinks out of my diet for a long time, like 1.5 or so years. Only soft drinks I drink though are sprite now, any other types and it fucks my stomach up so bad.

I did go quiet awhile without junk food as well when this first started happening (literally think I went a few months without it because I was seeing if it was messing up my stomach).

Yeah... well, I mean eating more healthily certainly won't do you any harm. Perhaps eat more fruit and vegetables and keep off the ramen and pizza. If you don't like vegetables, try different methods of preparing them until you do you like/can put up with them.

Also, drink shitloads of water. I'm no nutritionist but I'd say that shit's good for you.

Have you considered...

http://www.webmd.boots.com/heartburn-gord/guide/what-is-acid-reflux-disease ?

Maybe speak to your doctor once you have a few ideas about what it could be. I have self diagnosed myself quite a bit and have only been right 50% of the time.

I know you said the type of food you eat doesn't make a difference, but I'm still a bit skeptical. My only suggestion for you is to avoid fast food like the plague. I used to have a pretty queasy stomach, and I don't eat fast food often, but fast food (i.e. burger king, any burger place, and pizza, etc) would almost always make my stomach feel bad. Forget about gaining weight and try to stabilize your stomach situation first.

Also, I find the generic advice of "get exercise, work out" helps a lot for some stomach problems.

If you change your diet, stop eating food that is heavy on fat, you'll slowly start to like vegetables again. Too much fat on a regular basis, which works as a flavour enhancer, trains your brain to only like food with enough flavour enhancers and vegetables don't have those. After a while you'll be able to really enjoy normal food and vegetables again. Try it out.

There's a reason it's called "junk" food. All the calories, none of the nutrition. Processed food is a misnomer, it's not really food at all. Experiment with an open mind and learn to trust and cultivate your bodily intuition.

Drastically cut the processed salts, fats and carbs and your body will start to rehydrate and your taste buds will re-develop. I never really enjoyed fruits and vegetables growing up, but now, in the past 6 months I've eaten more than I had in the 25 years prior combined times 10. Now a good vegetable soup is one of my favourite meals. I wouldn't get too attached to what you think you like; it's all subject to change any minute.

Life always finds a way of giving you what you need, even if it's a bitter pill to swallow. Good luck brother.

Edit: I forgot to add. An apt quote from a man by the name of Danny Shine: Don't believe anyone, especially me XD.

Potentially psychological? I had a 2 month period during my exams (problems not similar but it's an example) where I was out having dinner I looked down and saw meat on my plate and it looked like the most disgusting thing I ever saw and I literally couldn't comprehend why anyone would want to eat meat

During that period I threw up in the morning every day without fail barring 1 day on the day that I didn't throw up I didn't feel happy at all I felt like something was awfully wrong to not be throwing up. There were no other problems for me I could still lift weights and run its just I think psychologically I was in a routine and it took a while for me to break the wall and stop being sick in the morning and eating meat

Might be an idea to try some of these healthy eating suggestions for a week and see if there's s change

Yeah I am going to try eating more grapes/apples then i do now, but I just don't see it working. I just don't know why after 17 years of eating what I always do one day stomach goes FU and yeah.

But it is anything, I have had it after eating a couple apples, it's not very food specific.

As for the stress thing I did forget to mention that, definitely not stress as I had nothing to stress about at the time and I don't stress very much at all.

Psychological thing is I love food, all the food I have eaten I always think it sounds good. When I eat chicken (my favorite food) or anything I never go "ew" or anything so don't' think that's it, but sucks that happened to you TT.

I am going to definitely try eating more fruits like grapes/apples/etc, but I just don't see it helping and all of a sudden I am not getting sick anymore (obviously this would take more then a day to take effect).

When I think of something else, something will go here

Wow......

All that junk food yet you wonder what the problem can possibly be....

From what you've described, it sounds like all those years of consistent high fat food has taken its toll on your digestive tract. You might have just finally eaten yourself to the tipping point.

Could be several possible problems. Gastroparesis, Pancreatitis(possibly not since no pain (yet)), gallbladder problems are just a few cases. It could be serious enough to require surgery or minor enough for a simple change in diet and a perscription.

Is your shit really runny/oily and getting diarrhea lots? that's a big sign. Losing 10 pounds in a week at 120 pounds and 5 7 is also pretty huge...

Have you ever had asthma or bronchitis? Any skin issues like rashes, eczema, dermatitis? Or history of constipation or diarrhea? Or had your appendix out?

That's equivalent to saying "I smoked for 15 years and never got cancer, why would I get it now?" or "I drank two beers each day for 10 years, how dare you calling me an alcoholic?" - both are pretty dumb statements.

Apparently something you are doing isn't great for your body. You can choose to change nothing about what you eat, believing that you "shouldn't" get sick from it or you can try, you know, changing your diet. You already tried pretending that you can keep eating what you've been eating all the time; - you wouldn't have posted this blog if it would work too well. =P

You eat way too much junk food as it sounds. This may have ruined your stomach. Get a healthy diet. I am really wondering how that is not the first thing your doctors has told you.

I've known 2-3 people in my life with Crohn's disease, and from the symptoms you described, it seems like it would be worth asking your doctor about. Otherwise, I agree with what just about everyone else said, start eating healthier.

short story of a friend who was skinny, but ate nothing but "junk food" (e.g. mcdonalds, frozen pizzas etc)
+ Show Spoiler +
I knew this guy who almost died from eating nothing but crap up until he was in his teens. He said one day he started having major stomach pains, and wasn't sure what was wrong. eventually he felt sick enough to go to the hospital, and the doctor found out he had no iron in his system at all. He was able to get back to full health eventually, but realized that almost every food he hated were foods which contained iron. Obviously since then, he has started eating healthier, and hasn't had any health problems relating to his diet since.

My friend had something pretty much exactly like this.
For him it was an inflamed pancreas. He had to get minor surgery at least once. I think they had to do it again too. But now it's pretty much gone.

Also, they tried some drugs or antibiotics before but it didn't work.

Stress can affect people in the strangest ways, have you considered stress?

Or if theres some sort of food you are allergic to, if you eat enough of that food, everything can possible set you off (aka, if youre allergic to milk, if you drink milk for longer periods, you will get sick from any kind of food, not just food containing milk, although if its that the machines shoved down your throat should have shown something.

Have they checked your gallbladder? I get really sick after I eat, seemingly at random, and my gallbladder is causing (most) of it. Although they might have checked with the ultrasound (that's the x-ray thing). Make sure they do check the ultrasound, because my problem didn't show up in the bloodtests (ie. my gallbladder was swelling, it didn't have stones).

And, yeah, I have to echo everyone else. Change your diet. A few more apples isn't going to help... I'd start eating at home, and going on the "five ingredient diet." That is, not buying anything with more than five ingredients in it, and never anything that contains stuff you're not sure what it is. Make the change gradually, if you have to, but I think it needs to be done.
I'd also start drinking nothing but water (a cup of coffee/tea in the morning might be okay, but if it is acid reflux I would nix 'em for a bit to see if it helps any). Or, in direct contradiction to what I just said... try mint, ginger or fennel tea. Mint can aggravate heartburn, though. And fennel is really good for it.
Also, change how you eat. Eat frequent, small meals. Slowly, without the TV on (or not in front of the computer...).

Another problem I have, is that my B6 stores are so abysmally low that it's causing nausea. (I was just pregnant, though, so I doubt it's B6 in your case...) If you're eating nothing but crap, there's a good chance something is low enough it's causing symptoms. Have they checked the more common deficiencies? Are you taking a multivitamin, or those meal-replacement drinks?

Aaaaaaand, last but not least... dehydration can cause pretty severe nausea/vomiting. Are you getting enough water (8 cups a day, at least). It sounds like you're getting enough salt, now, but if you change your diet make sure you continue to do so.

I've been suffering from something very similar for the past two years, and this is just what it is in my case. I'm not a doctor, but it's worth a try.
Are you satisfied getting by with just enough? Or are you ready to start trying?
