Dangling, While Sisyphus Laughs by p4NDemik
I told you: "Balance," But what did I know. You scold me: "Just dance." No, too scared to let go. I implored: "Temperance!" But you resist: "Hell no." Before more, a whisper: "Deliverance," But pain, a strong echo.
Continuing on, Two parts of a whole, An hourglass, Dangling, While Sisyphus laughs.
Change, it runs wild but you are so mild. I let go, I dance, But malaise stunts your joy. You are weaned off indulgence, I drink, smoke, destroy. Now a howl, imprisonment is past But freedom, no way it can last.
Continuing on, Two parts of a whole An hourglass, Dangling, While Sisyphus laughs.
And so we wonder, Maybe, another?

Awesome poetry. I had a brain fart and forgot who Sisyphus was. After looking it up, it makes it pretty ironic. Someone faced with eternal struggle laughing at the plight that you and your partner constantly oscillate moods and attitudes, but never at the same time. Even more poetic is that his struggle is one that is always uphill, and repeating.

As a fan of both existentialism and poetry, I enjoyed this very much. I absolutely love these two lines: I implored "Temperance!"/ but you resist "Hell no.". The idea of resisting temperance is the sort of thing I can mull over for days

I read sisyphus as syphilis the whole way through and it still made moderate sense. That is all.
edit: dyslexic moment

You are probably like me and when you read poetry you just accept that some people have a clue as to what is going on and roll with it.

Reading poetry makes me feel stupid.
