So I finally figured out why I can not view VOD's of the Fall Championship. I havent been watching the last couple of MLG's too much, as I have been extremely busy. However, I was looking forward to watching Rain's progress through this Fall Championship. So, I try to watch it and HD is not available to me. I figure its a problem with the system since the pass that I originally signed up for June of last year allowed it perfectly fine (was the first MLG event that had SC2 that I signed up). The previous events anything that I watched was using the rebroadcast and rewind functionality, as I had no issues watching then. This time however, that function is broken and the VOD's are only available to those with a subscription. So I tried to contact support.

Apparently, the pass that I signed up for in June of last year (silver pass) for $9.99 every 3 months was turned into a Gamebattles Premium Pass, which includes NO stream benefits. At all. And it costs $12.99. For what? For a "members forum" and some kind of ladder that they have (I didnt even know that they had a ladder system).

What the hell MLG? Why would you take a streaming pass, gut it to include no streaming then charge MORE?

And I never saw this as it ended up in my junk mail folder. I am going to contact them and see if I can get some kind of upgrade since I was just charged $12.99 about 6 days ago. Most ridiculous change I have ever seen.

It is only once every 3 months, it never clicked that the price went up from $9.99 to $12.99.

EDIT: And I wouldnt really care about the change in price if I was still able to watch the freakin VOD's and/or HD (preferably VODs with the rewind broken).

So MLG sent you an email about the change and they made news posts about it all too, but this is their fault? You could have just canceled that and picked up the gold membership for $30 for the entire year.

I just dont understand why they would change a plan which was based around the broadcast to not include the broadcast at all, and on top of that have one that is $2 more but not available online.

EDIT: I mean seriously. Who does that?
"Here is what we are going to do. Your current plan is cheap and includes something. So what we are going to do is raise the price, have no consistency in what that plan includes and throw in random stuff that you probably dont care about while taking out one of the major cornerstones of the plan in question, send you an email and keep the recurring fees going."

When Netflix split their DVD and instant into 2 different things and just charged me more for the same thing. I didnt care. Because I still got the same product. If Netflix suddenly said, "we are only going to let you watch live TV at a lower resolution... but we will include some other stuff that is irrelevant to the subscription in place of instant and DVD viewing!" there would be a hellstorm.

Yeah.... pretty sure we all had this discussion months ago when it was relevant. They properly notified you. Despite these changes that no one prefers, you didn't do anything about it. It's your fault

I realize they properly notified me, and I never said they didnt. Just that the change makes no damned sense. See my Netflix example.

EDIT: Their live chat thing sucks, no queue... you just sit and wait and after 5 minutes it times out and sends you to an email form T_T

I am trying to see if they will let me pay the extra $2 to watch the stream since I already have $12.99 paid.

They probably will upgrade your pass because they are nice and "the customer is always right", no matter how wrong you are.

Hey, theyve gotten $40 for a service that I dont even use... no matter how wrong I am they are still coming out on top. Its not like I am asking for something for free. An upgraded pass that I am paying for is the same as paying for the pass.
