For the past year, I've been giving SlayerS`Jessica, from this point onward to be referred to as SlayerS`Yoko, the benefit of the doubt. I thought perhaps she was an extraordinary woman put into extraordinary circumstances, and that her various out-bursts and dramatic behavior may have been a result of being frustrated by things outside of her control.
But today, Yoko has thoroughly debunked that myth. In her long form essay, which by the way was one of the most lulz-tastic piece of writing I've encountered in a long time, she addresses the platitudes of mishaps endured by Team Slayers and herself leading up to the disbandment of the beloved team. Though these claims may hold some truth to them...it was the way Yoko presented them that really tips the scale on cray cray. The points she made were extremely one sided and/or seems exaggerated out of proportion.
The full translation can be found here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=376041#1
The following are some of the more lulzy parts of released statement. Let's for a moment...pretend that everything Jessica Yoko is telling us is completely 100% true:
1. BoxeR told GanZi painfully that MMA is a cancer to this team
Really? Which MMA? The MMA that won 2 GSLs for Slayers, won the ace match for GSTL grand finals, the best player in the team, beloved by all fans (including team members) across the globe...that MMA?
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!
2. Alicia's complaint was that no right person dropped him and picked him up from the airport when he entered foreign tournaments. The reason was that it's annoying to be picked up and dropped off by someone else but Cella. I just sighed when he told me this. I sent him up to take a break. His complaint was not something that I did wrong and I thought he lacked some common sense.
Ask for a car ride from the airport? Gets put on probation from the team!
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!
Totally common sense NOT to ask such a thing.
3. MMA firmly believed that I have embezzled his money from the personal sponsor and I was very disappointed. I cared every single one of them sincerely and loved them but they believed the manager...
DAT DODGE!!!! mma: "did you take money?" yoko: "how could you accuse me of such a thing?! I lob you gaiz!"
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!
4. More shocking thing was that no players told me about this. I was going to formally sue the manager but I couldn't because I didn't want to disturb young players with a court case.
"I totes would have sued, but I was afraid sueing would damage some of the players' feelingz"
Yes, because legal justice has no place when feelingz can be hurt.
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!
5. Federation and SlayerS didn't get along from the start. We had Intel as the main sponsor and started off being the wealthiest team. That's when the federation wanted us to join but we weren't sure about what their goals and what they were after so told the federation that we will decide to join when we observe surrounding situations. That's when GanZi incident happened
"Why join the union of pro-teams (that everyone else did except us) when we already got teh money?"
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!
6. [Boxer's] passion as a manager and as a player were diminishing fast. I had hard time watching him too. He taught the players a more than ten-year period of experience inside and outside the game but the players didn't seem to appreciate that. That's when I suggested him to coach in T1 for remaining players, who may be able to fire up his passion again. After a few days of consideration, he agreed.
"It was all my idea!" what a hero!
7. As you might already know, Alicia was a B-team player.
Got 2nd place in three separate grand finals in a row (MLG Spring Champ, MLG Summ Arena, NASL Grand Finals), gets called a B-team level player.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!
8. I felt unsecure about Clide hanging around with MMA.
Can't trust that MMA
@LGIMMvp Out of all the progamers I've met over the years none of them have been as nice and sincere as MMA... I hope all the misunderstandings are cleared up as soon as possible.
What............?
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!
9. Taeja requested his transfer so I accepted. He wanted to move to a different team and continue playing and that's when TeamLiquid made an offer. I am really happy and proud that he is doing well every time I watch his games. He is not a player who tries hard to practise alot. Considering his performance if MMA is a practising machine then Taeja is really a genius style. If he is trained under a right regime, I think he can be the best player.
Is technically the best Terran player in the world from June to October, 2012...gets called lazy...
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!
10. But when Ryung behaved in a way MMA did, I was rather disappointed. When I asked him 'why are you being like that?' he also said 'I lost my faith in you at some point.' and when I asked him 'what have I done?' he couldn't answer
T_T
Ending on a serious note,
If you asked me, Jessica should have hired a lawyer to help her write this press statement. Releasing this emotional, passive-aggressive article was the worst thing she should have done to damage her reputation. I have no doubt that Jessica meant well, and perhaps she's a genuinely good person deep down....but good god!
She CRAY.

Everyone knows she's crazy, but I can't help but cringe at hearing the TSL coach's name come up AGAIN. That guy's name is always close when something bad happens in the Korean scene. Makes me really uncomfortable.
I'm sure a lot of the stuff she said was true, but I also don't doubt that a lot of the difficulties she had with the players is exactly because of the problem you outlined, that she's crazy. It's probably a combination of that, the TSL coach, progamers feeling entitled, and boxer leaving. I don't think he left because of what happened, but rather left and the world imploded without his presence.

As much as I dislike Jessica, this post is just awful and it seems you didn't understand half of her post. Making a long post doesn't mean you put thought behind it apparently.

OMG I fucking love this post.

Spit some #realtalk cuzz she CRAY

Seems to me like you're more concerned with presentation and neutrality than whether what Jessica is saying is the truth.
1. Neither winning nor being popular has anything to do with being a team cancer. In fact if you watch pro sports at all you'd know it is often star players who are the biggest cancers (Alex Rodriguez, Terrell Owens, Latrell Spreewell, etc)
5. Well, yeah. SlayerS were unconvinced of SC2con's purpose so they held off on joining. Seems logical to me since they weren't in any need of money.
7. Not sure where you got that from. The only reference to Alicia being a B teamer I noticed was the part about Alicia being demoted. If you're referring to how Alicia started off as just a practice partner that much is true. He didn't come from a progaming background and it's only natural recruits have to prove themselves before being accepted into the house.
8. All due respect to the game genie, but I doubt MVP is privy to the inner workings of SlayerS. Being 'nice and sincere' tells us nothing about whether MMA did wahat Jessica accused him of doing, and MVP didn't say anything to the contrary despite how you're interpreting his tweet.
9. Obviously referring to Taeja's time on SlayerS. Considering Taeja's considerable spike in results after joining Liquid it's not too hard to believe that Taeja wasn't trying as hard back then as he is now.
The rest of your 'points' I either don't understand or agree with you. Nevertheless your blog reads like one of Seeker's fake interviews, and that's not a good thing.
|
The fuck? Taeja gets called a genius for succeeding with less practice and you construe that as him being called lazy?
Also past results mean fuck all regarding your current skill, Alicia could easily be B-Team level. Other players who have been dropped to the B-team due to slumps in results: Bisu (iirc), Savior.

OP tries to be funny by using lots of memes but it's just annoying and not funny. Half the stuff just makes it more confusing. Don't make blogs again pls!!

Even players who are nice can be lead astray. While Jessica certainly is a "character", there is much more to this than blaming it all on her, especially when you are someone who couldn't be more detached from what really went down.

Good blog. Ignore the haters; you gave a perspective and it was well written.

She's either really fucking evil, or absolutely awesome. It all comes down to whether or not you believe this massive expose coming from her.

Those of you criticizing that I'm posting without knowing what happened exactly... or that you think I'm blaming Jessica for all that has transpired....
completely missing the point.
lol

how many hours in ms paint did the picture take?

She is obviously manipulative.

I guess Boxer is more laid back like regular Kurama, and Jessica is Yoko...

Agreed, I got the same impression reading that statement. She lives in Jessica-world, where everything's not her fault and everyone's out to get her. She's such a drama magnet and has no place managing anything. When she encounters a problem she just seems to blow up, get defensive and alienates everyone in the process.
Boxer probably took the SKT1 job just to get some time away from her. If anything caused the team atmosphere to become toxic it was her.

1) It's not because you're winning tournament that you are a good member of a team. Being a good member is being good with your teammate, hardworking etc etc, being good is not enough, it helps but that's not the point of being in a team.
2) Alicia threw a tantrum and she made him reflect on how a kid he was. Nothing bad there.
3) It was her money in the first place, well Boxer's money...so even if it's true, i don't see any issue here. Anyway, she explained the issue (this "J" guy)
4) She should have sued if she had a case but how much was it worth it? Spending money on a law suite is not what you want when your player don't have much confidence in the first place. I understand her decision.
5) SlayerS made a good call here, the first federation was dismantled and recreated because it was not a well thought organisation and most of the issues teams had weren't solved. Lots of drama then.
6) Yeah well, she's Boxer's girlfriend so what is your point here?
7) MLGs doesn't mean shit when no foreigner won it since Korean players entered it. Alicia was at one point a very good player but didn't have any success since a long time.
8) If you consider her statement true, At this point in time MMA was clearly believing she took money from the team. It's absolutely normal she thinks he could have say things that would have hurt SlayerS. So what? She was trying to protect her team and players.
9) What do you know about Taeja's behaviour while he was in SlayerS? Some players don't need to practice as much as others and Taeja might be good but he got destroyed in GSL so calling him "The best player of 2012" is a fairly bold statement. Also, he might have change is behaviour and start practicing a lot more within Liquid than with SlayerS. Taeja was a midlevel players back when he was in SlayerS.
10) Again, so what? Ryung said he lost faith in her but can't say what she did wrong so i would have been disapointed too.
End note:
I think you're bitter your fav team or whatever got disbanded and jump on the Jessica's hate bandwagon to seek revenge. Your analyse of her statement is subjective and you have no way to back your points (when you made one). It's so easy to hate on her because of all the dramas but at the end of the day she may be partly at fault here but a team doesn't disband because of one person. If Boxer left the team he created and partly founded (1m won invested from his pockets), it's probably not because he was suspicious of his wife/girlfriend. Just leave it be, we all are sad that SlayerS won't exist anymore and it's unfair but imo, she doesn't deserve the hate. She took care of every player and all the dramas prove she cared for them very much. You don't go the such extend as making you look like shit in front of hundreds of thousands people throughout the world just because you feel like trolling when your boyfriend is called Boxer.
Well, anyway you won't stop hating her so do as you want.
Peace

Then your blog is really unclear (for me and a least 3 or 4 other people). So what is your point ? I fail to see it. Maybe i'm not understanding it very well.
Enearde made valid points that i couldn't have writen better.
And to conclude if it were something that supposed to be funny. I don't find it funny. But fun is diffrent from a person to another.
