I never thought I'd be writing this blog, but here I am, at LAX getting ready to board my flight to Korea for the first time. As someone who loves Starcraft and has since I was 10 years old this is almost like a dream. I like to think that I'm "old school" and things don't really phase me, but it has sort of hit me that this is something I've wanted to do for over a decade.
I'm the last of my friends and peers from the BW days to make a trip here. I don't know what to expect and have never been to Asia, but I'm really excited. Plus, IntoTheRain was my childhood hero and Azubu just hired him as a coach, which is awesome.
Random note... Hotshotgg, a famous LoL player apparently, is on my flight. Small world, I just saw him at the LoL world championships hah.
I'm kinda sad that I will not be able to stay for the GSL final but I'll try to check out Code A if I can. I will try to write some about my trip and post pics and such. Also if any TL folk are in Korea maybe we can say hi.
This is really like a dream for me and I hope to make the best of my trip and this experience.

First thing I notice : a large majority of flight attendants on American flights (over 90%) are over the age of 45. Every single flight attendant on this plane is a young, attractive/reasonably attractive woman. Also theres a white guy with a super thick bushy mustache sitting next to me.

Also they seem incredibly inefficient at filling the overhead bins. They've had to do tons of rearranging of bags amd stuff. Blap

i assume you're on like korean air? that's what happens when asian countries don't give a fuck about discriminatory hiring practices

korean air + asiana air attendants hnnfff.
on my flight home i had a guy next to me who looked like jaedong when he was 15.

I think it's like that on pretty much all Asian airlines, or at least all the ones I've flown on (4 or 5) (regarding flight attendants, not white guys sitting next to me  ). GLHF in Korea!

Good luck Xeris, though what is this for? Are you just going to Korea for fun? Also make sure HotShotGG doesn't rage too hard at the attendents that he tries a 2 man baron again .

why dream? get a job, safe a few thousand dollars, enjoy asia. you can do this twice every year with a regular job easily.
