when i was little i use to throw large rocks at birds when they stopped to eat some worms that i strategically placed in my backyard. this was different from the many times i fried ants alive with a magnifying glass, or peed on bugs just to see the acid go inside them and their bodies at first start twitching uncontrollably and then stop functioning. this was much different, this was about freedom. birds could fly, and I could not. you see, when I threw rocks at birds my intention was never to kill them, but to handicap them, to blow out one of their wings so they could never fly so freely so high in the sky ever again. the birds after they got hit knew something was wrong, that they fell into my trap, they tried to fly away but it didn't work, and I felt bad, very bad for what I had done. but i felt worse that they had to live with this pain, this same pain that I felt every day as a lonely boy who was bullied, a boy who could not simply fly away and explore the world and fly through the clouds and kiss the moon at night. it was unbearable to watch these poor birds unable to fly, something they were destined to do, the only thing they had instinctively known from being young hatchlings being fed worms by their mother. It was painful for me to see the pain and fear in the birds eyes, i could feel it was crying, begging me to put him out of its misery. i hated to watch the bird die by throwing another rock at it, so what i would do instead is gently kick it until i could push the handicapped bird into a stream behind my grandparents house, and i watched the bird flowing softly in the current downstream, away from my sight, and i watched it go as far as i could until it was just a dot against the water. and i don't know what ever happened to the these birds, they might have drowned, they might have limped to shore and spent the rest of its life cursed by having to walk or short bursts of flight 2 feet into the air before it came back down again. all i knew was that i wanted to fly and be free and go anywhere i pleased anytime i wanted to, and it didn't seem fair that birds were so carefree and free and wild and had such a strong sense of free will and limitless freedom soaring high above the skies or feeling the sweet breeze on their wings or the brisk chill of the starless night, watching all the stars high above them and them being so high above the earth

What the fuck?
That is more than a little creepy. Killing bugs or for food is one thing, but that is just sadistic.

I find this fascinating. After reading the Wikipedia article a lot of things struck me. My mom had me at a young age, she always seemed to be depressed, my dad was a workaholic and didn't spend much time with me, he was a strict disciplinarian and sometimes beat me with belts, we lived in poor areas of NYC for years and crappy apartments with cockroaches, and my dad was always paranoid about the police. I was never that violent, but I often had violent thoughts which just made me feel more alienated and alone and self-conscious and with low self esteem despite a disproportionate sense of self importance. I've never had a relationship with a girl, partly because I always expect the girl to dominate me and I somehow weirdly "get off" on her making me feel lower. I don't know, a lot of things in my life seem pretty #%^€ed up.

Why even bother sharing this with us? Just to get noticed? You know if you share actual stories about your life people will respond better, rather than an obvious made up one.

You'd need to have a pretty severe lack of empathy to enjoy crippling birds with stones, wouldn't you?

I doubt that a small child is able to clearly and rationally identify his sense of empathy, or lack thereof. If this story is true, then the reasoning Aureola gave (wanting to be able to fly, and being jealous of birds that could do what he couldn't) is probably more than enough of a rationale for said child. It's strange, but it doesn't really say anything about whether he may or may not have psychopathic tendencies.

And where does Aureola say he enjoyed it? He states multiple times that he felt remorse and shame for doing what he did.

I didn't see his second post until just now. It makes a lot more sense after learning about his father.

Again, why do you think this is made up? Because birds have lightning fast reaction speeds?
