And by that I mean this one old man.
(this happened this morning)
Im taking my bicycle to work like usually and I am coming to the zebracross. I see that the cars have stopped and another woman is going across it. She is walking on the bicycle side, but hey watever right? So I focus not to hit her since the cars have already stopped.
Then bam the fucker old man starts his car and drives right through me when im crossing the lane. Holy fuck use your eyes or dont drive you shit. By some crazy miracle I hit the car in a very good way and slide off the side and hit the pavement.
It doesnt end there though. That blind fucker just keeps driving for 5 meters before he realise "woops maybe I should stop". If I didnt slide off the side he would have driven straight over me that piece of shit. I might add that im very happy to be alive.
Later the doctor said that I was really lucky, since I just got a scratch and some bruises. Especially since I didnt wear a helmet (It's just 5 min by bike so what the hell i thought) which I will from now on.
Time to nail the fucker

Glad you're all right, but this really had nothing to do with the driver's age.
I once almost had a likely very dangerous accident (I was going about 65 km/h with my car) just because some definitely-not-old woman turned left across my lane when I was in plain sight. She didn't stop after 5 meters either. She didn't stop at all despite me ending up in the field next to the road.

sounds like you were extremely lucky . On the other hand, old drivers should need to redo the driving test every so often, cause I swear they don't understand the meaning of stop signs.

Old drivers? Heh, around here, everyone needs to re-take the damn thing. Feels like people are mailing in a few cereal box tops to get a license these days. I can't go anywhere without nearly being involved in an assisted suicide. My truck is hard to miss (in multiple senses of the expression) but I'm still always dodging.
If I weren't usually trying to get to places by specific times, or have my son in my truck, I'd just let them learn a painful lesson in situational awareness, but that would be such a pain in the ass.

My 90+ granma decided to get a new car "for safety reasons". During the test drive, the car salesman panicked all the time as she didnt break for any crossroad/traffic light.
But in the end, he did sell her the car.
First thing she did was completely destroy her outside mirror by hitting a car in the other lane.
So yeah. I think you're right about elderly drivers. Now how do I prevent my granma from ever getting in that car again...

I can't help thinking of that South Park where all the old people lose their licenses and start a rebellion...
Anyway, yeah, you should really have to re-take your license test every 5-10 years or something. Make it so that everyone has to do it so old people can't complain that they're being discriminated against. My parents are just getting into their 60's now and I'm terrified every time one of them is behind the wheel... my mom nearly runs into pedestrians on a regular basis and my dad can barely stay in his lane while he tears down the highway at 85

Meh, there are exceptions.
My 70+ year grand parent is proly one of the best drivers i have ever seen.
Than again being a truck driver for 40 years might have got him an edge over some others
In general, yes, old people past a certain age shouldn't be able to drive at all and you should be forced to re do the driving test every 20 years or so. But old people are voters too, so thank democracy for this not happening.

Yes! Old drivers are the absolute worst. They should have to renew their licenses every six months. I hate, hate old drivers.

I agree. Seriously, I wish there is some kind of mandatory retest for those over 70+.
Let's be honest here, most of them are too old to use their senses and make quick correct decisions which can not only hurt them but us too.
Just last week, I was walking home from library. While I was waiting for the light to turn white, a 80ish grandma come and stops in middle of the street waiting for me to cross when there were fucking cars passing by her. Still, I waited until my light,crossed and reached the end, she THEN drove, ignoring her red light. lol. Luckily there were no cars ready to ram her -.-

old drivers are terrible. they act like it another person's fault when there's an awkward situation or two people enter an intersection at the same time. also they drive slow as sin. (just last weekend, my mom and i were driving on a 50mph state road with an old lady ahead driving at 30.)
plz dont have sex with the old dude.
