In September I will be hosting a Starcraft based event for the people of the great KMD thread. I intend on giving away copies of KARA's upcoming album PANDORA.
The goal of this is to bring the members of KMD together and have fun, celebrating the release of KARA's album and competing in friendly matches of Starcraft.
A copy will go to the winner of said event and a or multiple other copies will be given out at random to participating members.
Eligibility: A minimum of 10 posts in the KMD thread and/or name recognition.
Now if you would like to participate, help, or even just observe as I will stream/cast it and have a vent server or something up. Tell me what you would like to see.
Brood War or Starcraft 2 ? (If Starcraft 2 is chosen, it will take place on the North American server) Free-For-All matches or a 1vs1 double elimination tournament ?
P.S.: Remember to use the subscribed threads feature or to frequently check this blog to keep up on the development of this event.

Liking KARA isn't a necessity. It's an event to bring people together... For the posts count I will refer to the spreadsheet that was posted not too long ago. (I just checked fast and didn't see your name on there. Don't worry though you have about a month or so to get 10 posts in...
- amateur games are still entertaining for spectators (I honestly don't feel the same way about low level sc2 games) - easier for people to get together to play matches as we could all just get on iccup (remember SC2 has region-locked servers)
I'd like to join (and get roflstomped as I am absolutely bad at SC) or maybe try my hand at casting but I think my 10 posts are spread way all over the thread. Not even sure if I have 10 posts in KMD lol.
bw is only accesible for those who still play it, pretty sure the majority plays sc2 these days. Voting for sc2(would need to borrow a NA account), playing 1v1.

lol one idea, if we want to be supa-exclusive, is PM TuElite and he looks at the username, and then he PMs us back with the poll. Then we trust one another to limit the poll to KMD (since after all that's the whole point of having this PM system anyway) and do it that way. BW for sure, I'm still pushing for FFA since that's a more random distribution versus the best player running away with all the goods.
If it doesn't stretch your budget too much and you're up to it, multiple events would be cool too. It might take a great deal of organization though. We should also come up with other mini-rewards/punishments for games keke.
Also this could actually be a good time to rehabilitate KMD's image, for what it's worth. We're widely considered the single worst open thread in all of team liquid on a consistent basis, which is pretty sad to be honest. Getting some good PR wouldn't hurt
Since it's really split I;ll try and do both. Cop 4 extra copies of the album, shouldn't be too much, I think I can handle that. I'll start with Brood War 1v1 double elim style tournament and on another date we'll do SC2 FFA or something.
Would anyone somewhat knowledgeable about Brood War want to stream/cast the tournament ? (you will of course being included in the draw for all participants)
I can help stream if need be but I'm not much of a caster.

Depending on the time. I think I can help with casting anything.
plz, for the love of god. There are only ever so few bw events. And if you know how to play sc2, then you will know how to play bw. Also, not everyone lives in america/has NA account, so they won't be abled to play on NA.

Man, I'll get rolled at BW. I can try, but I can also give some help if you need a hand organizing or what not. I never really followed BW strategy and what not, so I probably couldn't commentate at a high level, but I can cast for the lulz.
^^ ill be able to stream (in september), btw. i can cast too but im shit at bw so someone that knows how the game works (or wants to just talk on stream with me) needs to be present

lol yeah you still have time to post, tournament won't happen until I have all the albums in my hand and whatnot so probably in a month or so depending on where I place the orders, shipping time and whatnot.

Considering I can't play BW for shit, I think I'll ask about the helper position.
I'm still contacting people for technical information on casting and casting and whatnot. Soon I'll post about the helping positions when I know who's in or not.
