apocriva Canada66 Posts August 03 2012 02:15 GMT #1 Well, my head hasn't been in SC2 for the last couple days. I do game development as a hobby, and I've been getting back into that. That said, it's been a long couple days at work and I still need a way to unwind a bit, so why not SC2? The other major options I have at my disposal are Diablo 3 (which I find boring) and Dark Souls (which I find uncomfortably loud with a sleeping toddler in the next room). I guess part of why I tend to avoid SC2 unless I'm concentrating on it is because I feel like if I'm not playing-to-learn, I'm not going to have fun playing -- but that's totally true, is it? I know that I certainly have fun while playing. So I'm going to give it a shot tonight, and play with the intent of just-playing instead of caring about analysis or whatever. (An hour or so later...) Also, it appears as though topreplays.com can't handle patch 1.5 replays! Oh well! I ended up winning three games, one each against Terran, Zerg and Protoss. I felt like kind of a jerk in the ZvZ -- stuck with my old 14 gas 14 pool + baneling nest build, saw that he went hatch first, then just went all-in with floods of lings and banelings. Day[9] says to have a plan to win at Hive tech, but if you can win early on, why not, right?

Wintex Norway16838 Posts August 03 2012 03:22 GMT #2 Right! ^_^ If your opponent is being greedier than you, and you feel that it might matter, why not? Just playing might also make you a better player due to being used to the game. Dunno :D
