Used to have characters full of stuff like Armageddon fletches and Soul spurs. If only I knew how valuable they would become months later....

I ended up pressuring both of them into believing that I thought they were cheating on me. I ended up requiring them to write a long detailed diary about their days, and I said that I would write one about my day too, so it would be special for if we ever got married. The Texas guy wrote about how much he could lift, and his position on the football team, and how all the girls would talk about how hot he was. The guy from Philly would draw out the maps he was making for UMS, and would tell me about his special "I love you! <3" code. He ended up writing over 100 pages in a notebook just about UMS map creation, and micro/macro builds (He improved significantly over this time too). The football player guy only wrote about 20 pages, but it was over just 15 days. I thought the guy from Philly was joking about writing that much. When I received the notebooks from the 2 guys, I ended up mailing the two guys each others notebook. The really religious guy was extremely impressed by how much he thought I worked out, and how fast and strong I was. Then from other clan members, they started telling me that this guy was talking a ton about me, and that they were curious if I could really squat 400 lbs. I was like yeah, I do it everyday. I had no clue what I could squat, probably because I had never lifted weights in my life. This caused a lot of drama, in which one guy called me a liar, and then the guy from Philly ended up cursing at him, which was the only time I had ever seen him curse on the game, or talk in all caps. Then they showed him on youtube, that if i could really squat that much, then I would be like a professional, and he asked me why I lied. I said I meant 40 lbs, but then he asked me if I could really bench 300 lbs. I was like yeah why? That's when he found out I had been lying to him, and I had to go in front of this clan trial thing for lying like that. I ended up telling the story about how I switched the notebooks, and that he actually had a crush with the guy from Texas. He ended up sending me a picture of him crying, and it really broke my heart. I felt so bad for lying to him.

When I was younger I guess I used to "cyber" bully a lot, but not in your typical way. I was huge into War3 for the longest time, and I always tried to be very very manner, but in doing so, I would often chat during games (even with no reply), as if I was having a conversation with nobody. I understand that could be considered really really rude, but I did it anyway. Please tell more stories. They were just cases of cyber bullying. I was hoping other people would post things they did, but it seems like not really anyone cares to post. Anyways, in 2009, I had a guy try to kill me, because he wanted some one to kill him. After he tried to kill me, I had kind of a warped perception on guys, and had problems just being around them. At times it would be hard for me to just breathe as I walked by some guys, like I would hyperventilate. I stopped going out, and spent the majority of the time in my room. I mean it was so bad, that my roommates would think that I went home during the weekends, when really I would just be in my room. I started experimenting kind of with other women on the internet, but never in person. I ran across this Italian domme, who really fascinated me. She had wealthy guys who would come to her, and give her money, and then she would just shoe them off. She told me she was getting too old for the domme thing, but was looking for some one to replace her. I got pretty excited about this, because I kind of wanted to take my anger out on guys, just to try to feel normal again. She said she could get me a one way ticket to Italy, but I would have to leave that day so that she could train me for the job. I told her I couldn't, because it would be weird to tell my parents that I was going into the sex sector, and that I needed to finish my classes. Later on she said that I was just going to be her pet, and that being a domme is a lifestyle choice. You never stop being a domme, and that I would be trained forever. I found this to be really fucked up and shocking, but it was refreshing at the same time. It made me feel more comfortable around guys again.

We were kind of pissed, but hacking a base was not as easy when people were around to protect it, so we only got two or three of them within the next week. This was back when the game was really buggy though and occasionally a small patch would do something completely unintended. I don't remember how we actually figured it out, but somehow we found a way to destroy faction bases by targeting someone in front of them with an area attack. It was really unfair because there was no way to stop it, but we were still pretty pissed about our base getting hacked on Christmas. We went all over destroying bases with AoEs when there was no way to stop us. I did a lot of shady stuff in that game (duping credits, exploiting armor and weapons, abusing bugs for leveling professions), but I generally felt fine with all of that because it wasn't specifically aimed at hurting another player. The night we were effortlessly destroying other guild's bases however ...

We had a lot of great memories fighting in and around or guild's base as we protected it. On Christmas Day, a group from the opposing faction went around hacking and destroying bases. They posted pictures on the forums talking trash and laughing at all the guilds they had screwed over. Another friend of mine sold his jedi four or five times to different people netting on average $600 USD each time. A few guys sold credits for money IRL. None of this stuff ever appealed to me, they would spend all day auctioning and working forums trying to get better prices for everything. Gaming was supposed to be a way to get away from working. I just liked to shoot people and kill dragons. =)

They were called legendary tissues, but they were more than that because unlike all the other crafting components in the game, they didn't have a serial number. This allowed us to make schematics, put them into a factory, and then produce these amazing components with any garbage tissue we could find. As far as I know one of my friends sold those weapons for basically the entire life of the game. Unfortunately the game shut down so he had to go find a job. Playing an MMO for the first time was like smoking weed for the first time. It was completely foreign to me, and I didn't really understand what was going on half the time. But I knew I liked it. Being naturally outgoing, I met a lot of people. Most of the guys I played with were RL friends, so if we met someone from California, we invited them to come to one of our parties. I made a lot of really great friends. It seems like you have a ton of stories. A lot of them sound like things that happen to me, different, but the same. If that makes any sense when you read it. What was it like the first time you played an MMO?

What was it like the first time you played an MMO? I've actually never played an MMO in my life. I used to love to play the Mario games, but most of all I loved to play Super Metroid. I had a neighbor who never really went outside, and never really talked to anyone. He was 5 years older than me, and was special needs. In kindergarten we had these egg carton flower pots that we made for Mother's day, in which we had written "I love you Mom" on the bottom of them, so there was this big black guy who was 5 years older than me too. He gave me a black eye, smashed my flower on the bus, and then told me to pick up my mess. My special needs neighbor picked him up over his head, and threw him across the bus. I was in tears. My neighbor took me to his house, and put band aids all over me, so that I would look tougher. Then he taught me how to play Super Metroid. That was my first ever video game, but I would go over to his house all the time to play it with him.

That was my first ever video game, but I would go over to his house all the time to play it with him. special needs kid did all this? i'm surprised

He couldn't understand a word we said, and we couldn't understand a word he said. He would talk to me by typing on his computer, and then letting his mom read what he had written. I only knew my alphabet at the time, but I pretty much so learned how to read that summer, so I wouldn't always need his mom telling me what he was writing.

I feel kind of bad about this, but when I first started playing Broodwar, Pokemon was still kind of hot. I had this friend in my clan who I played UMS with a lot. He was from Philly, and was a christian extremist. He didn't believe in Pokemon, because of the evolution, and would get really mad at me for playing it. I told him that I quit the game, and that I was really happy that he was looking out for me. I asked him if he thought I would go to heaven, and he said, "I think so." I told him good, because I really want to see him there. He asked me if I wanted to be his girl friend, so I was like yes! He got really happy, and truly did love me, but he didn't know that I had another boyfriend from Texas on Broodwar. I felt so bad for lying to him. also wtf did I just read

Im mid masters to almost highmasters depending on how much I play. Do u play sc2 or just be? I used to be really into BW, like when WGT and WDT was around. I ended up joining this really good primarily korean clan, in which the leader had beaten boxer in a televised match. I tried playing SC2, and did ok in tournaments. I didn't ladder much, but I was top 200. Only made $5 out of all the tournaments I played in though. I just got annoyed with how Z was so underpowered at the beginning, but yet I had to deal with all these people who had no clue what they were doing, except some cookie cutter build. Some people asked me why I didn't switch races from z to p or t, but I felt like blizzard would balance it soon enough. By the time it was december, I felt like the game wasn't close to balanced. I kind of wish they brought back some of the things in broodwar, like the part where you can only control 12 units at one time, or 1 structure at a time. I felt like it increased the skill gap in the game, which made it more exciting.

I really thought this build was amazing. After the game had been out for some year, a pro ends up doing this build flawlessly against his opponent in a televised match. The zerg was just frustrated, and couldn't do anything. In the beginning of broodwar, mech was very rare to see. Towards the mid-sc2 release, mech was quite common.

I wonder what he thinks I'm doing back here lol, well I'd say don't just 1 base Z. I would highly recommend trying to get the most information out of your opponent by scouts. For example, when I played, I could look at the tosses chrono, which told me whether or not the toss was going to go 3/4 gate on me. I could count the pylons, to tell if the toss was going to go proxy vs me. By looking at those 2 things, it's practically like a free win if I scout it. As the game goes on, there's more randomness, and more chances of you/your opponent guessing wrong. You can come up with rates for optimal probe counts, based off of how many drones they have and hatcheries/queens. If you know these, it makes it far easier to come up with a better worker to army ratio. You can't win all your practice games, but you can learn a lot faster than the other players can. I'm off for a run, good luck. ![]()

A lot of the older progamers got into E-poker, because of their high APM, and fast decisions. There are hotkeys for different trade stations. I practiced trading for almost a year on a "paper" trading site (It's fake money, but real stocks and prices), and now I trade daily.

Another thing about cyber bullies is that the internet trading floor is ruthless. You can easily sign up for special newsletters, in which some "ace" trader is supposed to tell you all the hot picks (especially in penny stocks). He'll show you past stocks, in which he'll make you feel like you have a chance to make a perfect trade, in which you can make 10000% of your investment. They'll usually recommend a certain limit order, in which they'll set themselves to sell their shares to you, so they take your money, and leave you a shit stock. You'll have huge problems getting out of it.

About how much percent do u usually pull. Yo make it seem like 8% isn't a lot. Also when u buy stocks do u just look at current stock history and buy as it is rising or do u research individual companies. The latter seems like it would take to long.

This is more of to try to get people to stop cyber bullying. When you post something like this, it can be hurtful to the people that he's beaten. I know he's a good player, but you need to be more encouraging to the others. There was once a time, where a big named player had a show match set up to bash on a ladder abuser. In this show match, the commentator was very rude to the player even. Neither of the players apologized to the person, but the worst part of all is that it brought an even worse image on the community.

It was almost like picking a D+ ranked player to play vs a C ranked player. Combat would put guides up, but if I remember right, they kind of ignored the meta, and he didn't really have the mechanics to play mid game toss. The majority of his builds were just proxy gates. People may criticize him for this, but at the same time, if you can't beat it every time, or if you don't know how to scout it every time, then are you really a good player. There are limits to the amount of minerals that you can mine, and in the beginning, the avg. players should be able to at least calculate their minerals. I want you to know, that I don't think it was right of him to abuse ladder. I don't think it was right of him to make it seem that he was a lot better than he actually was. I don't think it was right of him for "pimping" newbs out, to a point where they believed he was high level play, and then using them for free ladder points. When you think about it though, those points didn't get him a girl friend. They didn't get him paid. They didn't get him sponsors. They probably just motivated him to continue playing SC, so that he could try to actually live up to being a real B ranked player. People criticize people for stream sniping others, but is that as bad as some of the things that went on in BW? Just think about 2l-testie. He map hacked vs pros, and would show off the replays of him beating them. Once the replay patch came out that detected map hack, testie stopped showing his replays off. Sometimes I wonder if he never would have been able to reach his level of play without the hacks. It's almost as if he was able to learn what to scout for with his hacks at certain times, so that he would not come across as a hacker.
