I just moved from Halifax to Saskatoon half way across Canada and my fiance will be joining me in about two weeks. She is leaving her two very old dogs behind (Both maltese) and all her friends and family and is a little sad about, yet still excited to start a new chapter in our lives.
To offset the sadness I have decided to surprise her with a brand new cocker spaniel puppy. let me introduce this vicious beast I will be entering into my family.
Now this is an 7 week old female, and I am really not sure what I am going to name her yet. We are both slightly on the nerdy side. She is more of a nintendo and single player RPG fan (zelda, mario, dragons age, eternal sonata games like that) and I am more of an RPG fan (Zelda, final fantasy, mass effect, fallout).
One thing we have in common is a few animes (Fullmetal alchemist, deathnote, one peice). She likes almost all super hero movies and used to love X-Men.
I have to say my favorite so far is Winry. One of the main female charectors from Full Metal Alchemist. from his looks and tame personality I think it kind of works.
I don't think a lot of obvious ones would work, I thought of Zelda, Midna from zelda. Nami and Robin from one peice, but I don't think they would really fit. She has never played any Final fantasy sadly, and has never played starcraft.
Lets brainstorm some ideas ladiens and gents of TL.
i personally like naming my pets provocative things so when im in public with them or talking about them it can get reactions from people, ex. Satan is a good dogs name or rodney king, or a serious name that could be good is Tyson cause he looks like he will grow to be decently large.

This is why you correct such heresy by naming the dog Samus. Forcing the... other she... To know who Samus is, once and for all.
and then make a castle styled shelter in the garden and put up a "the princess is in another castle" sign or something x) or even better if she gets a sleeping corner with some cloth thing to lay on, sew it onto the cloth so you only see it if she's not lying on top of it^^
I haven't any idea for your dog but try to pick a short name with 2 syllable ( I guess it's the best ) because if the name is too long you will soon find him a nickname and you won't use his proper name I don't think galadriel and Tali'Zorah are good
Golden_Light xD, on a serious note, Angel (the literal name) or one of the archangels would not be a bad name that won't attract a lot of questions about the name haha. There are also names like Bassian (bastion), Fedor, etc. that are really stalwart sounding names you can give to small puppies :D.

It's a female dog :o had me really confused. Thought you meant Winry the character was a he or something, I was like....wtf kind of trap was that...wait...Winry is a girl for sure.
But yeah, Winry is a pretty good name, I'm in favor of that one
