I don't like it personally I find it very boring and will never watch it or anything. I play them sometimes for fun, but I get bored after about 15 minutes.

You say it has a better community then sc2, that is probably true because it is smaller then sc2. Back in BW the community was a lot better as well (you did not see much balance whining in LR threads for example was a rare sight).

As with anything, the bigger it gets the worse the community gets due to the influx of stupid people

I don't think the FGC is smaller at all. SC2 numbers are actually not that high, especially when you compare them to dota and LoL. Look at the evo stream, we're at 100k viewers

fgc is pretty much all real life interaction, while sc2 tends to be about reddit and sotg. of course sc2 has it's barcrafts but it doesnt have a huge network of groups who meet in person several days of week

yeah. damn, the sfiv finals were kinda ass. nobody except infiltration seemed to be playing at their top level. maybe it had something to do with the huge gap between games from friday till just now

Once players become skillful enough that they can execute moves/combos with minimal error, fighting games are pretty enjoyable as a spectator sport. It's like the gamer's version of boxing or UFC. Whereas sc2 is like the gamer's version of chess. Each brings about different types of fun :D

I watched some and I find it pretty cool.

I had no idea what was happening but there was obviously a lot of skill there.

It's at least as entertaining as SC2.
