EPTTear, the Protoss from team FXO made quite a showing this morning on the GSTL. FXO was down by one (2-3) and their star player, Leenock, had just been consumed by the maniacal smile of Startale's Curious. The casters joked at the win rate of Tear on a certain map in the GSTL, only having played a total of 4 games before this, with a 50/50 win rate. Not only did he put that evil smile to shame, he shamed the rest of Startale, winning the match for FXO. Yes Tear was cheesy vs Squirtle, but watching the other two games, he looked quite solid, considering this was one of his first appearance in the GSTL. I think from now on, I'll keep my eye out on this guy through the different leagues, and see if he can TEAR up bigger names! Hopeful game I am looking forward to in FXO's next match, a possible Tear vs Jjakji!
Play of the night: Curious vs Tear - Super Probe
I know it always looks good when a probe sneaks in and slows down the hatch timing, then you can put down that pylon and go home. BUT NO! Tear's probe circles that eager drone, denying the expansion time and time again! Only after Curious had got his lings out, did that probe allow the hatchery to be planted. And I say allow, like that probe was the zerg master. Not only does he annoy with that denying, but when lings come and attack, he micros behind the mineral line, saving his probe from the lings, and actually manages to get the probe back home! That probe is my new hero *salutes*.
