Introduction:

One day I got tired of holding tvp cheeses with 1rax expo and decided to go with a pressure build into expo into a second wave of pressure. Let's throw in something mech-y as well.

So how about a quick pop quiz?

Some details: thor has +1 amor, no upgrades on bio, no upgrades on toss, blue flame on the incoming 2 hellions. Not seen in the picture is the forth immortal and 4 more zealots flanking from the back.

Does Protoss win by a land slide? Nope.

In small scale fights, Thors do a good deal of damage, raven is there for PDD and to snipe obs, while cloaked banshees dish out the punishment. It has worked very well thus far for me, and you will note that I am expanding behind it all.

Cute and mech-y. :D

Half of zealots got stuck behind but I emp'ed well, so he was in a pickle and a-moved like a true Protoss.

Meh. Pretty sure that would turn out differently if the Protoss wasn't floating 1000 minerals, and actually bothered to micro... like at all.

Protoss didn't focus anything with his immortals... You kinda got really lucky in that regard. The normal version of the 1/1/1 imo is vastly superior.

There were a lot of sentries, but a small number of shields and no forcefields. I'm sure if the toss made more stalkers with the gas, focus fired with the immortals, and made more reinforcements with their bank that it would have been a closer fight. The battle was pretty close to begin with.

The thing about that is all the sentries that are worthless with the thor squashing the ff's and the raven making the stalkers worthless as well. Thats a ton of gas that isn't doing anything in the fight while the thor's and banshee's rip though the entire army.

Its the raven banshee thor combo that won the fight right there the marines just tanked a bit of damage. The thor will 1 shot down the obs when it gets into range because of its auto priority to attack air when the raven gets over. After that your trying to take down meaty thors while a banshee unleash crazy dps on the army.

Ht's make banshee marine thor go :/. its probably a better dance with ghosts then with mmmv but the pros would probably use it then.

I have played about half a dozen of this build, I have seen better micro in the defenses but thus far low master Protoss can't seem to handle it yet at all.

All I cared was to give it some mech-y feel to it. :D
