I started playing StarCraft 2 about a year ago and have since then become completely enthralled by not only the game but also the surrounding comunity and events.
Before I even started playing I had been introduced to the game by chance when lurking around on the internet. I happened to stumble upon a TotalBiscuit-video on the frontpage of Youtube and I checked it out. This led to me finding his "I Suck at StarCraft 2"-series. I also found Husky and Day9 after this. These are the people that really got me in to the game.
I found out I had friend who played the game and so I bought it and started playing.
Wow, this was much harder than it looked like. I had played some Warcraft 3 a long time ago and thought I was pretty decent (I wasn't). I managedto place in silver. I played for a while but then I kind of stopped playing consistently. I still placed for every season, but I placed in bronze.
A couple of months ago I started playing a bit more seriously again and I made it in to gold pretty easily. This is where my troubles started. I just wasn't satisfied with playing just one race (which was protoss at the time) so I started playing abit with zerg and terran as well but found I wasn't skilled enough with these races to stay in gold, which was a big deal for me.
A friend of mine got a StarCraft-account but never really got to playing very much on it so it is placed in bronze. He said I could have it if I wanted to.
And so my quest begins. I have decided to start over from scratch on this account in bronze and play as random. It might very well be bronze I do fit in as random but I am going to keep playing with a goal of at the very least 5 games a day no matter what (as long as I'm at home or have access to starcraft and so forth) and I'm going to be following the macro oriented route that filtersc talks about an his channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/filtersc/videos). I will befollowing his builds with Terran and Zerg and keep playing as I have with protoss but more macro-oriented with less one-base plays and two-base all-ins.
I'm hoping to improve and to keep myself motivated I'll update here frequently on my progress. And hopefully someone else finds it entertaining as well.
