To start off this blog, I'd just like to say that this is in NO WAY a balance whine thread, the whole reason I've made this is purely motivational, I'm not going to be talking about the current state of balance, I've talked to quite a few Terran players who have been discouraged from playing lately and I'd like to try my hand at a motivational speech.
Now, to start this off, listen to this before reading, it will get you pumped and ready.
Times seem hard don't they my fellow Terran? Do not dispair, you may think you're in a rut, you see your rank plummeting, you're discouraged, you're and and most of all, your competitve spirit is starting to fade.
You can't quit and more importantly, you can't complain. Do not make excuses for yourself, you get knocked down? You don't complain and make excuses for getting knocked down, you get your ass off the ground and come back fighting even hard than before. You're better than that, as Carter says, "our deepest fear is not that we are weak, it is that we are powerful beyond measure" Live by this saying, breathe it, feel it in the very fiber of your being. You are just barely SCRATCHING the surface of your potential, do not let something block your sight of that. You CAN be better, you CAN win, you CAN make a name for yourself.
Instead of making excuses, get up and do something about It! You are not weak, you are not a coward and most of all, you are not someone who quits at the first sign of losing ground. You are a TERRAN, we expand and we conquer. People tell you that you're a whiner? Chances are, they're telling you that for good reason, so stop whining and do something about it.
Actually, I'm playing better than I ever have atm. Since tanking my rating in s4 to switch races (and then deciding not to switch race lol) I've been stuck in plat. Atm I'm rank 1 plat, playing and stomping high diamonds again and have gone 16-4 in over the last 2 days.
I found that during these hard times for terran players that I just have to play a little less standard and I can take wins easy. Hoping this is my rise to master league, atm I am playing very solid. I feel like everything from my macro to my micro have improved dramatically and I am actually getting better at SC2 again!

That's awesome man, I'm glad you're having success
I just came back to the game after watching the Kespa invitationals. Every time I get frustrated, I look at how many games I've played in the day (usually less than 20) and think "What would Flash do?".
I'm gearing up to practice 6-8 hours a day to get into GM. I'm confident I can do it, even tho only 18% of gm is T atm or something. I'll be one of the 18% then.
Now that people are sharing motivational videos, time to share my personal favorite.
Anyways, I'm switching to Zerg anyways. I've always felt like the Swarm mentality fit my style better, especially because of fast units. I just sucked too much at ZvZ to get motivated before. I tried to switch before in around season 2/3 btw.
I thought about writing one of these from the perspective of a drill sergeant talking to his de-motivated, sad, shitty recruits. I then realized I simply cannot.
I feel like a lot of terran have stopped thinking about WHY terran play like they do (in a helpful way), and have really fallen into a "I 1 rax expo into 2 medivac stim push because it's good", and have forgotten the WHY it's why, and WHEN it's good, or a lot of them are/were players that just knew it was good because it was working and people told them to, and it was good solely because they learned a build/their macro was better than their opponents and stim/medivacs will actually carry a lot of gaps. or, same thing with 1 1 1, or tank marine pushes, or 2 base tank medivac marine pushes.
In short, I feel like a lot of terran specifically have forgotten why they do what they do and have fallen into automatic, monotony and are now complaining because they don't realize how much adaptability they've lost sight of. So um. cheer up other terrans and go to war!
I'm just leaving games as soon as it hits 20 minutes. I couldn't be more de motivated right now. I can't micro or macro like the pros so I'm just stuck in diamond/plat. I can't see my self getting better because I have no idea what else to do

ask yourself a serious question: what does that do for literally everyone else, and is that in any way, shape or form indicative of anything below the absolute top level of players?
as an update to my earlier post in this thread... after stomping 17-4 over the last 3 days, I played 1 game today and got my promotion back to rank6 diamond.... master league next ;p
